This beachfront cottage is located on the beautiful and serene Keystone Spit just a short walk to the Port Townsend ferry and Fort Casey state park. Bright and cozy with a long yard leading to the water, the cottage has room for six people to enjoy beachfront bonfires, badminton, bluff-side walks or relaxing puzzles and books.

The space
Keystone Beach Cottage is a historical home with a modern style. Bright, cozy, and designed for your enjoyment, the cottage has two bedrooms (both queen size beds) and one bathroom (shower). The living room has a big comfortable couch along with a built-in daybed with an XL (extra long) twin mattress. The kitchen comes well-equipped to prepare those Penn Cove mussels or fire up the gas grill for burgers and dogs. Dine al fresco at the picnic table or seat everyone at the dining table inside. The library is stocked with beach reads, classics, and travel literature. Borrow a book to read in the adirondacs, or grab some beach chairs from the shed to sit by the Sound and watch the sunset. Ready to go explore? We are walking distance to Fort Casey state park for hiking around and Crockett Lake sits just across the street for epic bird watching!

*PLEASE NOTE* During weekdays, the Navy jets do fly at a low altitude close to the cottage while conducting test flights on this portion of the island. The frequency and duration of these flights can vary, but are generally more active during summer months due to weather and daylight hours. They do at times also fly in the evening into night hours. PLEASE check the Jet practice schedule before booking. While some folks like to see the jets others can be more sensitive to the noise.

Neighborhood highlights

Come to Coupeville, where every lover of history, nature and art will enjoy a memorable experience. This quiet waterfront farming community—the heart of Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve on Whidbey Island—still reflects the character of a frontier seaport when Puget Sound was being settled.

Beyond its historical significance, Coupeville and Whidbey Island offer magnificent views and tranquility that inspire return visits by our friends from across the state, the continent and the world. Throughout Ebey's Reserve, from the Madrona Way shoreline of Penn Cove to the beach and bluff at Ebey's Landing, you'll share space with farmers and bald eagles, gray whales and bicyclists, herons, otters and kayakers.

Farming is the major "industry" around here. Farm stands offer produce grown on small organic farms (also available in local markets). Cattle share the prairie with seed crops (not the same fields). You might also see golden grains of barley, beets and other food that may be destined for your table at one of our award-winning restaurants.

We are walking distance to a fabulous scratch-made restaurant - Callen's, Fort Casey, Crockett Lake and the Port Townsend Ferry.
