The fully renovated self-catering loft apartment, in a Victorian house in Green Point Village, can sleep up to 4 people, with one 'drop down' queen sized bed (not a sofa bed!) and a separate bedroom which can be configured either with two single beds, or joined together as a king. I live on the lower floor at Braeside House with my own outside access. I am therefore usually around and can be contacted via the intercom.
Each guest is provided with a set of Guidance Notes to assist with familiarisation of the apartment facilities and the surrounding area.
Green Point Village is a declared Heritage Area of narrow streets with residences mostly built around a century ago. Braeside Road was only converted from a path to a road about 60 years ago.
Cape Town's MyCiti bus service is now operating in Green Point - though some routes have not yet started. This will significantly improve the public transport links to the area.
The 'hop on - hop off' city sightseeing bus service is recommended for newcomers to Cape Town.
The number and availability of taxis in the area has shown significant improvement over the past couple of years.

Stuart was a friendly host, the apartment is very nice
Perfect stay! I highly recommend the elegant Braeside House Loft.
It exceeded my expectations, as the loft is bigger than it looks on the website, very bright, clean, sunny, breezy and well equipped.
The terrace is also very pleasant. The area in Green Point is safe and close to all Cape Town has to offer. I had a chance to visit the bigger apartment: gorgeous! I hope to be able to stay at Stuart's place soon again.
The perfect home base for a Cape Town vacation/adventure! I say home base because it really felt like a complete house. For 2 people over 5 days it was more than enough for us to enjoy our time in Cape Town with ease. Stuart was extremely accommodating, even with our changing check-in and check-out times. There was also a cleaner in on 2 of the days so our place was spotless over our stay. Location wise, Green Point is really central to everything and the place is within walking distance to groceries and restaurants. That being said we had a rented car and I believe that is essential to really get to see the city and all the beautiful areas around it. The last few things before I forget is that this loft has amazing views to wake up to and we really enjoyed the style of it. Everything was where it should be kind of like a sailboat. Stuart has gone to great lengths to make sure there is nothing missing.
We had a great stay at Stuart's flat. He left us with some handy info and the location is perfect for seeing Cape Town. You can walk to the waterfront which is perfect. Overall a great stay and wonderful flat. Thanks Stuart x
Stuart has a real winner here! Braeside was a wonderful place to stay -- clean, sunny, breezy, and close to Green Point amenities. The pictures don't do it justice; the loft apartment (and indeed the entire house) will exceed your expectations.
This apartments in a great location, with a beautiful view. It is walking distance to the V&A waterfront and the parking spot is key for car friendly Cape town. We'd stay here again in a second.
We loved the Braeside Loft! Perfect location with a Nice sunny balcony. Very nice atmosfere, it is a great place to stay and feel at home after exploring the beautifull Capetown.
I stayed at Stuarts loft for 4 days. It is a great place in a very nice neighbourhood. Just 5 minutes from the V&A Waterfront, 5 minutes drive to long street. You can park your car in front of the appartment.
The loft has al the things you will need (coffee machine, oven, dishwasher, WiFi, nice bathroom and a very comfortable bedroom). In the afternoon the roofterrace is fantastic to sit in the sun and drink a cold beer!
it was just perfect!!!!! We had wonderful days there! The location of the apartment - its very central! Thank a lot, Stuart, for hosting us at your place.
Stuarts apartment is wonderful! The view is amazing and the location is simply perfect. Enough space for 2 people - even for more! Very clean and cozy. We loved it there! Stuart lives downstairs but we haven't seen him during our stay. Perfect if you need time for yourself, but if you want to have someone local around to spend the evening with, this won't be the place.
