Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
The cabin is located on a dirt road on our farm with a beautiful pond and an amazing view! This off-grid, cabin has two queen beds (100% cotton sheets), a mini-kitchen with a battery-ignition gas range, solar powered refrigerator, solar lighting, a wood stove, an outdoor shower, a fire pit, and an old-fashioned outhouse. An expansive porch and dock provide comfortable outdoor living. A seasonal favorite, the cabin is available May-Sept.

The space
Pleasant Valley Farm has grown to include two farms on 450 acres of rolling hills, woods, and pasture.

The cabin has a spacious covered porch and a cantilever dock that extends out over the water. The pond is perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. There is a canoe, a SUP board, and tubes for lounging on the water. A stone fire pit with Adirondack chairs is the perfect spot for old-fashioned campfires. This place is private with an awesome view of the valley!

Guest access
Guests have full, exclusive use of the cabin and pond. This is a working beef cattle farm. Please be respectful of farm animals and wildlife. No hunting.

Guests should not use any farm equipment or vehicles. Please do not bring motorized off-road vehicles such as dirt bikes or 4-wheelers on the property.

Other things to note
This is a seasonal, off-grid camp cabin located on a working beef cattle farm. While there isn’t a bathroom, the cabin has a lovely outhouse and an outdoor shower. A Joolca on-demand water heater was installed in 2022 for hot showers! Soap, shampoo, and towels are provided. There is no electricity. Solar panels power the lights, refrigerator, and water pump. There is a propane stove/oven in the kitchen and a Weber gas grill on the porch. The cabin has spring-fed water from May to October. Firewood is provided for both the wood stove and fire pit.

Cleaning between each stay: all bed linens (including blankets, quilts, and shams) are washed, floors are mopped, and surfaces cleaned.

Pets are welcome. Please follow some simple pet etiquette: (1) Keep pets off the furniture and out of the beds. (2) Scoop your pet’s poop to keep the lawn and walking area clean. (3) Pets can be off leash, but don’t allow them to chase cows or wildlife.

My husband, Gary, and I live on a farm in Callicoon, NY. We are Airbnb hosts and travelers. We enjoy the outdoors and being near water. As hosts, our cabins have access to ponds and streams and the Delaware River is an added bonus. As travelers, we like to visit seaside towns.
