It is a two bedroom private villa located around 20 minutes from Ubud with the amazing view of jungle valley, river, rice field and mountain at the distance. This villa is designed comfortably for those who seek a place to relax, and enjoy the time with family or friends. Wide open designed living and dining area, semi outdoor bathroom, all make this place a unforgettable place to stay.
The space
At jungle’s edge, atop a vast amphitheatre of rice paddies cascading down into the deep gorge of the holy Pakuseba River, and with a panoramic view of a distant ridge of nine ancient volcanoes, the lovely and ultra-private Villa Kelusa is nestled in the Balinese foothills beneath the very small, traditional village of Kelusa.
While practically untouched by the modern world, Kelusa is also a surprisingly few minutes drive down the hill to Ubud, a very large, bustling village which, with its world-renowned restaurants, dance performances, art galleries and nearby 5-star hotels, is considered to be the cultural center of Bali.
Pondok Surya, or Sunset House, was also designed with open, panoramic views of the rice paddies, jungle and mountains. It has a large, second story in-suite master bedroom with a wrap-around terrace, guest bedroom and smaller kitchen. There is also another infinity pool which runs through the house, separating the living and entertainment areas.

The villa is located in a traditional village setting. Access is generally good, but the road can be narrow in some sections. The villa is accessible by car, however we recommend informing us in advance if you are bringing a large vehicle so we can assist with the best route and parking arrangements.

Villa Kelusa is nestled among active rice fields, tropical jungle, and natural surroundings. Guests may occasionally encounter geckos, insects, frogs, birds, and other harmless wildlife that are part of Bali’s vibrant ecosystem. Regular pest control is conducted throughout the property.
Rice Field Surroundings
The surrounding rice paddies are actively maintained by local farmers and are not part of the villa property. Agricultural activities such as planting, harvesting, and water flow may occur seasonally and can create authentic village ambiance.
