Enjoy year round comfort with a gas heater when its cold and a cool night breeze and ceiling fan during summer. Sit around the fire pit at night and gaze at the amazing star filled sky. Now with WIFI and Electricity, ceiling fan/light, and plugins. Outside foot Pump sink available May.-Sept. Pets ok with fee.

The space
The Pinion Yurt is tucked in the Cedars and Pines at the base of Green's Mountain. With Private access to the mountain trails it's like owning your own Mountain! 2 adults and 4 children are included in the cost.

Guest access
Guests have the Entire Yurt and the area around it. A key-less entry deadbolt is used to access the Yurt. We will send you a 4 digit pin the day before your stay. 2 adults and 4 children are included in the cost. Guests can access an old trail leading up the mountain to Rat Rocks. A family favorite for picnicking.

Other things to note
The Pinion Yurt has gotten a facelift! Its now Red and has electricity, a ceiling fan and light, propane heater, and new skylight dome that opens to let hot air out! A restored antique outhouse is located a short walk behind the Yurt for toilet use. It is clean and well ventilated. Toilet paper is provided.

A Yurt is like a large tent. You will need to bring everything you will need for your stay such as camping, sleeping, water(potable water hydrant available nearby), and cooking/eating gear. The Pinion Yurt provides padded beds, outside firepit (firewood available to purchase 24/7 across the driveway), propane heater with propane, a table with chairs and a counter cabinet to prepare and eat meals. You are responsible for all water, food, and cooking supplies. The Yurt has 2 bunk beds. The bottom is a double 'full' bed and the top is a single. All beds have a freshly cleaned vinyl covered foam mattress. You will need bedding or sleeping bags. Camp chairs are recommended for additional seating. There is a picnic table and barbecue grill just outside. There is WIFI at the yurt that comes from the nearby Cabin.
Pets require a $5 pet fee to be paid at booking. Pets must be leashed at all times as they are not allowed to wander the property.
If your family or friends are staying with you (2 adults and 4 children are included in the cost. Extra adults have an additional fee. 6 people total) and wish to stay in a camper van, camper truck, trailer, or rv, there is a $20/day dry camping fee. We also own City of Rocks RV across the road where there is water and electric.
Outdoor shower is yours to use. It is located just up the road by the old Red Truck and the hydrant with your potable water. Please follow the rules on the outside of the shower. Shower is available roughly May-Oct but removed when it starts freezing at night.

My work: City of Rocks Retreat
Ross and Sherida Lloyd have lived with their family in Almo for 15 years. Ross is a 4th generation resident and lives in the brick and log home his father built. Across the road is his grandparents hand built cabin. Across the field is the cabin where his great grandfather raised 10 children. The lovely Almo valley is a peaceful escape from the cares of the world. With a rich history and lots to do we are happy to let others enjoy it as well.
