The space
Your accommodations include a California King size bed in a spacious 800 square foot room. Includes a separate private bathroom with large shower and dressing area. Unique architecture abounds in a space decorated with historical antiques, photos of Yosemite and one of a kind original art work. Closet space and dresser space is yours to unpack in and feel at home. Kitchenette area includes microwave, small refrigerator (stocked with variety of drinks, continental breakfast goodies and snacks at no extra charge), toaster oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, tableware and a cozy cafe table for two. Or opt to eat in our outdoor patio with gas BBQ and table for four in our spectacular gardens. Sit and enjoy watching the local birds come in to the feeders. Observe wild turkeys, flocks of quail and deer strolling through the property below while enjoying the sound of our babbling seasonal creek. Traveling with children? We can set up a queen sized inflatable bed in your room for one or two. This can also be set up outside on the patio for a luxury camping adventure!

Guest access
Guests have access to their space in the house by separate keyed entrance. Guests may also utilize outdoor space in front of house and in back patio area. Guests can also stroll through designated areas of the property, but must remain on pathways and roads.

Other things to note
Whimsy was closed for several months due to county ordinance for pandemic safety. We are now open for guests . We will be changing some booking procedures based on new county requirements. If you are ill, coughing, have a temperature or shortness of breath, please don't book as we may have to send you home on arrival. If you become ill after booking, we will be happy to cancel or rebook for another date. We will be deep cleaning after every guest occupancy. All bedding, including blankets and bed spread are freshly laundered. Extra towels and pillows available only by request to insure they also are freshly laundered. Food items will be fresh purchased, single serve packages and containers as needed are wiped down for safety. All dishes, cups, and utensils are new. single use and disposable. Air filters will be replaced after every guest. Tissues are new boxes, soaps are pump dispensers and all other offered amenities are single use disposables. Need a face mask? Just ask! We take your (and our) health and safety seriously!

Neighborhood highlights

This is a residential area, but we have a large parcel of 16 acres to drive into. Neighbors are not visible from the house. Lots of space between us. We have specific quiet time hours posted.
