Your guest house is located in the small-scale bungalow park Villas Vista Masaya with fantastic views of the crater lake Masaya, just like the bungalow Chaperno.
The double bungalow is a studio and suitable for singles and couples. There is a stable WiFi connection for digital nomads.
It is quiet here, and the climate is pleasant. Own pets are not allowed.
1.5 km away is the town of Masatepe, where there is a supermarket and a daily market for fruits and vegetables.

The space
The guest house is comfortable with two individual beds, a bathroom with hot shower, a wooden wardrobe and a separate toilet. Linens are provided, and the beds will be made when you arrive. For the swimming pool, you will receive an extra towel per person. If you find it necessary, you can exchange the used linen with us for clean sheets and towels. The windows have screens and fences, so you can open the windows and a fresh breeze will enter your room. There is a fully equipped wooden kitchen with refrigerator and a four-burner gas stove with oven. Free WiFi is provided in your cottage. Over the full width of the bungalow is a covered terrace where you can hang the hammock, but where there is also space for the two rocking chairs, the dining room chairs and the dining table. As many local entrepreneurs as possible were involved in the construction and furnishing, and of course we paid attention to the quality.
The WiFi signal is good, especially during the day and later in the evening, and at no extra cost. But experience shows that between 7 and 9 p.m. the signal becomes weaker or even stops, because too many MBs are taken. We apologize in advance for this and kindly ask you to take this into account.

Guest access
There is a swimming pool of 4 by 9 meters with a depth of 0.80 meters, sloping down to 1.60 meters. Only guests of the park are allowed to use it. Diving is not allowed. There are hiking trails along the slopes where we grow coffee, but where we have also planted many fruit trees. The many native trees provide wood for furniture or for cooking on wood fire. The large guanacaste trees serve as shade for the coffee. Of course, as a guest, you can pick the fruits that ripen on the trees. Birds, butterflies, other animals come to all these trees and shrubs, which you can often see from your terrace.

Villas vista Masaya is 2 1/2 km north of Masatepe, one of the towns of the Pueblos Blancos known for its crafts and beautiful views and nature. People lived in the hilly hamlet of Nimboja long before the Spaniards discovered Latin America. The name means "the road to the water" and if you turn right instead of walking to the town and continue down the road, you will eventually reach the lake of Masaya. Everyone in the neighborhood knows each other, and people greet each other in a friendly way. To buy eggs, local sandwiches or soft drinks, you can go to a small neighborhood shop here. The residents of the neighborhood try to tackle everything together. For example, a new water pipe has recently been laid, and we are now trying to get the road completely paved. There is a local school, which we support from our park.

The comunidad Nimboja is known as a safe area. Everybody knows each other. You can already go here for buying a bottle of soda, an egg or a typical Nicaragan delicacy. You can also provide a mobile phone here again. You don't have to go to Masatepe. You can safely take a walk here.

I have worked all my life in the development cooperation, first from the Netherlands and in Nicaragua for the last 20 years. We spent money in the development of the park and worked with local entrepreneurs to make the most of it. I love working with the staff in nature. There are so many opportunities to make everything even more beautiful and attractive. I like to have a good time for our guests. I love comfort and coziness myself, but the house should also be quick to clean. Preparing food is one of my hobbies, and I'm surprised if I can buy broccoli or other tasty vegetables in Masatepe. I like to discover new places so I can pass that on to our guests. But I also love to enjoy a good book on our terrace in the hammock. I love new challenges. I think we should also give something back to the community of Nimboja. That's why children from the neighborhood can take courses in our activity center Nimbojitas, such as English, drawing and painting, secondary school, sports.
