Take yourself back in time in our 1952 Airstream. Perfectly situated between Arcata and Eureka, this vintage abode offers modern comforts while preserving its historical essence. Just a short walk from breathtaking sand dunes and secluded beaches, it provides a tranquil haven for those seeking a unique escape. Enjoy the blend of nostalgia and contemporary convenience, ideal for a memorable retreat amidst the natural beauty of the coast.
The space
Guest have full access to Airstream, outdoor private claw foot tub and shower and surrounding deck. There is 1/2 bathroom with toilet inside (it is a tight fit and small space!). If you are traveling as a pair make sure you are comfortable maneuvering in small spaces together as our Airstream is approximately 125 square feet. This is the perfect trial run if you’ve dreamed of living in a tiny home.
We are not on the beach. Airstream is in our side yard with private access. The sand dunes by our house lead you out to the beautiful Pacific Ocean where you can walk down uninterrupted for miles. The walk through the dunes to the beach is approximately 10 minutes.
The bed has 100% cotton sheets and down comforter. Kitchen has basic amenities for cooking and there is a propane stove. We use only all natural cleaning supplies and unscented detergent.
Dogs are allowed for a $35 additional fee per dog. We do not allow cats. We usually only allow one dog due to small space. If you have small dogs we will consider two for additional $35 pet fee. Pets are not allowed to be left unattended inside the airstream and please do not allow them on the bed. Our spot is perfect for dogs because the beach and neighborhood is dog friendly.
Guest access
Guest have access to the driveway for parking and side yard. Please park on right side. The clawfoot tub is private and only for 1952 Airstream. It is attached to side of house that is also an Airbnb but house guest do not have access to side yard and entrance and space is separated.
Other things to note
The main house is also a Airbnb. Airstreams are enclosed in our yard and have a private entrance. There is another vintage Airstream that is also a Airbnb in close proximity. Each Airstream has a private entrance and private space but not completely fenced off from each other. The outdoor shower is attached to the side of our house and for the back Airstream only.
We have two Airbnb’s on the property. The other is a 1968 Globetrotter. Each Airbnb guest has their own private space and separate entrance.
The Airstream is vintage and has lovingly been restored. Everything works except the original propane heater which we have replaced with a space heater. We have tried to retain as much of the original components as possible while adding modern comforts. Our Airstream is 66 years old and in wonderful shape for her age but there are certain parts that cannot be replaced due to Airstream no longer making them.

Neighborhood highlights
We live in the colorful town of Manila located between Arcata (5 minute drive) and Eureka (5 minute drive). Our neighbors next door are super friendly and it is about 1 minute walking distance to the dunes and another 8 minutes to the beach. We live on a peninsula and there are some beautiful places to explore out here. If you love riding bikes we would be happy to explain some amazing rides to Arcata or to the South. The dunes also make for amazing sunset hikes and the surf breaks along the coast offer excellent waves throughout the year.
