Interaction with Guests
We live just a mile down the road. We like to personally meet every guest upon arrival and show them around the house. It's really helpful for us to know your approximate time of arrival a day or two in advance so we can arrange our day to be there to meet you. Check in available from 3pm to 9pm. Checkout by noon. We're happy to try and accommodate special check-in needs when our schedule allows.
There's a lovely park with playground equipment and plenty of room to kick a soccer ball just two blocks away.
Down the street is one of our favorite authentic Mexican restaurants, La Cocina. It is open for breakfast and lunch. Cheap, authentic and good food!
Around the corner is Pastallini (formerly Lorenzo's), which is hands down the best Italian food in town. Take out only, lunch and dinner.
Historic Mesilla Plaza is very close by with its adobe church, shops and great restaurants.
Feel like a local as you wander through the award winning Las Cruces Farmers and Crafts Market. This is a great way to spend a Wednesday or Saturday morning. We'll share more of our favorites when you get here.
A city bus stop is one block away and can take you downtown. Las Cruces isn't famous for it's public transportation, but this bus gets you to the downtown mall hourly.

This house was truly adorable. It was perfectly appointed and my family and I felt immediately at home and relaxed. Ashleigh welcomed us like family and even supplied some light groceries, saving me a late and tired trip to the groceries store on our arrival.
My kids, 4 and 18 months, really enjoyed the space, including the sweet front porch and the grassy side yard. They slept very soundly in the twin beds in the front room. Ashleigh was also so kind and welcoming to them!
My mom has moved to Las Crusas now and if I ever need a place to stay again I will definitely be returning to this wonderful home. Ashleigh is a great hostess.
We arrived after picking family at El Paso airport and were welcomed with big smiles from Ashleigh (and Sam). She invited us in and gave us a tour of this wonderful place. Our Daughter was graduating from NMSU and the house is just minutes away from all the activity at the school. What a wonderful stay. Throughout the house we found everything we needed for us to relax, reconnect with family and entertain the college graduates that stopped by. The neighborhood offered some easy walking opportunities to a park and or just to “stretch the legs”. The SUPER-Host took great care to provide thoughtful accommodation’s such as a few basics for the refrigerator, extra linens, an extra bed for one of the rooms and always an offer to help make our stay more comfortable in any way. What a great treat when Ashleigh brought over a basket of warm cookies made with fresh pecans!
Wow, what can we say ... I thought before we arrived that all of those positive reviews couldn't be real ... but now I see they are! Ashleigh was awesome, very responsive, the house was perfect for us. It is exactly like it looks in the photos, except what looked like beads to me hanging from the top of door between the kitchen and the living area are actually wine corks ... very creative! And the home is in a great neighborhood, very shady and with streets perfect for my 9 a.m. runs.
Ashleigh was extremely responsive to our emails and answered all our queries before we even arrived in NM, which helped us to feel much more confident about our first ever booked airbnb longer stay and our very first visit to New Mexico and Las Cruces.
Ashleigh was there to welcome us when we arrived (earlier than anticipated) and showed us around this lovely spacious bungalow and suggested several local activities and jogging routes etc we might enjoy ...
She even kindly lent us an American pay as u go phone to use for the duration of our stay (which we will return now we have come to the end our US holiday ) Ashleigh also got the bikes in the shed ready for a proposed cycle around this quiet , attractive, residential district , in fact, nothing was too much trouble for her and all her efforts made our stay in Las Cruces very enjoyable, I have no hesitation in recommending this house to anyone else.I could go on ...but best to go there yourself and try it out.
Annette, Andy, Sean - thank you for your kind review, as well as the other feedback. Excellent thoughts about a bit of privacy in the garden, and very timely as we are planning to work on the landscaping next. Loved having you here and do look forward to next time.
Ashleigh was a fantastic host! She anticipated all our needs and the house was just as described. She even had chocolate chip cookies to greet us.
We were warmly welcomed by Ashleigh upon arrival and were given a brief tour of the house. On the tour, I noticed some cookies sitting there which were just delicious. The house was just so quaint and lovely, we felt at home here. Ashleigh was just the best host, she was always available and made sure we had everything we needed. She even gave up some helpful tips which were wonderful. We all had such a great time and would recommend it to anyone!
