• Location
1. Download the Maps app. me is an offline map that will be of great help in Cuba.
• Money
1. Bring all the cash you think you will need for your trip, as once you arrive in Cuba it will not be possible to get euros/USD through the ATM/ATM solo CUP (official Cuban currency) and the change will be 1€=120 CUP.
2. Do not change all your euros at the airport. You can pay everything in Cuba with euros (transportation, food) etc.. and the drivers and Casas Particulares prefer the payment in this currency)
3. The change of the euro in the private houses or the one in the Calle (as we say in Cuba will always be better than that of the Government: At this moment 1 euro has a value of 150 CUP.
Transportation
1. The best way to travel in Cuba is by Taxi Privado/Taxi Colectivo. This option will always be available in your Casas Particulares. We can help you book any city that needs to travel.
Communication
1. Etecsa the Cuban phone company for 1000 CUP offers a SYM card with 2GB of mobile data.
2. Download a VPN especially if you use Iphone as many apps are blocked for Cuba. The best thing for Cuba is Phsiphon VPN.
Useful and Necessary items for your trip:
1. Solar Protection and Repelente (not in Cuba stores)
2. Bottle with Water Filter. Bottled water is hard to find in supermarkets and in restaurants is a bit expensive. With a filter bottle it will save money and time.
3. Antibiotics. There are no in families and you can always donate since in Cuba it is hard to get.
4. Power Ban/Portable Charger. In hours without electricity you will be able to charge your phone.

I have worked in the travel agency industry for more than 10 years and have made friends and contacts all over Cuba. I am currently a single mother and live with my son and my mother.
