"Great amenities, comfy beds and the water pressure was amazing!"

"A top experience"

"We'll be back!"

The space
Perfect as a base for walkers, riders, kayakers, fishers and lovers of the outdoors it has a roaring wood fire and split system air conditioning to keep you comfortable in the cooler months.

All the rooms are well proportioned with comfortable beds and all the bedding and towels are provided. The living area flows from the sunny dining/breakfast space through the modern kitchen and into the relaxed lounge.

A coffee machine is provided that takes Nespresso pods.

There are two large bathrooms with fantastic water pressure even when both are in use. One bathroom has a toilet, as well as a separate toilet next to the laundry (inside)

Outside is a generous well lit patio area and the rustic bike shed and plenty of grass to laze around on on hot days.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole property. As Derby is a small town we ask you to respect the peace and quiet that the neighbours are accustomed to.

Other things to note
Phone coverage is patchy around the Derby area but pretty good in town if you are with Telstra. You may have limited coverage if you are with another service provider.
There is a small General Store in Derby but guests are advised to bring food in if they want to self cater. There is a supermarket in Scottsdale and Branxholm if you are coming from Launceston.

Location

Derby, Tasmania, Australia

Derby is a quaint village in a picturesque valley in North East Tasmania. Once a sleepy country town it has been revitalised by the creation of the Blue Derby Trails and the enthusiasm of the local community. In the main street are the post office, The Hub for great beer and pizza, The Dorset Hotel for a fantastic pub meal and friendly service, and two great cafes. There is even a Floating Sauna on the lake! Vertigo MTB and MadMTB run shuttles to the trail heads every day.

Derby is situated on the Ringarooma River which is popular for fishing and kayaking. Some people spend their time fossicking for gemstones on the banks of the local creeks and rivers.

Just on the edge of town is the Blue Derby trail head and shuttle buses are available to reach the trail heads further out of town. All trails lead back into Derby and also connect with the Blue Tier Trails to the east. Just opened is a family friendly bike trail around the local lake and a pump track just over the road from the trailhead for the mini-shredders and the young at heart.
