Artfully decorated and renovated 1853 American Cottage with old world charm and convenient amenities one block walk to Magazine Street. The lush, tropical and brick backyard is accessible through French doors off each bedroom. Washer/dryer at house.
Privacy, convenience, and an outdoor space make this home a true home away from home while you are in New Orleans on business or pleasure. She is complete with all the amenities in a location that does not require a car. The home is walking distance to the street car, city bus route, the best restaurants, grocery store, fresh seafood market, pharmacy, and the best shopping NOLA has to offer without being to close to the French Quarter and Warehouse District traffic and noise. Safe and neighborly is what you will experience while staying in my home.
You have access to everything in my home. There are enough dishes and serving pieces to have a dinner party for 8+ if you are in the mood. There is also a robe and house shoes for your convenience in each bedroom.
Interaction with Guests
I am not in town often to interact with my quest however, I hope that I have given you enough information for a comfortable and enjoyable stay from a locals point of view.
The safety and convenience and friendliness is what I love about my home. I can walk for the best hamburger, make groceries, take the bus or the street car downtown or to the French Quarter, walk to do my banking, fill prescriptions or exchange my clothes at Buffalo Exchange. Many past guest from cities that are not as friendly as NOLA are a little taken back by the friendliness and helpfulness of New Orleans residents. We are helpful and harmless and don't want anything in return for our help, guidance or directions. Be careful this fun, friendly city has a soul and will steal yours. And as happened so many times before with vacationers to our city you'll go home, sell it, pack up and move back here.
One block walk to catch the city bus, 6 blocks to the street car route, same to the hop on hop off, and cabs are easy, too. My home has a bike for your use. I just walk everywhere.
Other Things to Note
The prices posted here are not the same during Carnival season (Mardis Gras) and Jazz Fest. There is a 5 day minimum for both events.
Mi casa y tu casa. That said I would want you to treat my home like your home. If I was staying at your home I would leave it better than I found it, that just the way my momma raised me down here in the South. She also taught me not to put my feet in the chairs (ours are antique and fragile), make my bed everyday (of course you are on vacation), pick up my clothes, yadiya. Have fun and just don't dance with the dolls and please feel free to smoke outside in the lush backyard or on the front stoop.

This place is a great place to stay. The owners are lovely. We had a plumbing issue and they fixed it immediately. The home is in a great location and has that old NOLA charm. Awesome....
I unfortunately couldn't make this trip myself due to circumstances up in NYC which held me back. My friends who went said the place was absolutely lovely. Great location and a really beautiful house. Highly recommended. And Cathy was super communicative and very helpful.
Cathy's Beautiful home was the perfect get away place we could have hoped for. We had no problems checking in or out and the area around the home is fantastic. A short walk to the rail car which for 3 dollars will get you anywhere you need to go. I can't wait till I next get to visit New Orleans as I'd definately want to stay at Location, Location, Location again. Thank you Cathy.

Thank you for considering my home during your travels. I have been sharing my home with vacation and professional travelers since 2007. I enjoy meeting new friends through their stay at my home. Mi casa y tu casa. I am an avid traveler as well and my favorite places include Mayaro,Trinidad, Sul du Lac, France and Black Rock City, Nevada. I love the accommodations of homes during my travels, too. Much thanks, Cathy
