Artfully decorated and renovated 1853 American Cottage with old world charm and convenient amenities one block walk to Magazine Street. The lush, tropical and brick backyard is accessible through French doors off each bedroom. Washer/dryer at house.
Privacy, convenience, and an outdoor space make this home a true home away from home while you are in New Orleans on business or pleasure. She is complete with all the amenities in a location that does not require a car. The home is walking distance to the street car, city bus route, the best restaurants, grocery store, fresh seafood market, pharmacy, and the best shopping NOLA has to offer without being to close to the French Quarter and Warehouse District traffic and noise. Safe and neighborly is what you will experience while staying in my home.
You have access to everything in my home. There are enough dishes and serving pieces to have a dinner party for 8+ if you are in the mood. There is also a robe and house shoes for your convenience in each bedroom.
I am not in town often to interact with my quest however, I hope that I have given you enough information for a comfortable and enjoyable stay from a locals point of view.
The safety and convenience and friendliness is what I love about my home. I can walk for the best hamburger, make groceries, take the bus or the street car downtown or to the French Quarter, walk to do my banking, fill prescriptions or exchange my clothes at Buffalo Exchange. Many past guest from cities that are not as friendly as NOLA are a little taken back by the friendliness and helpfulness of New Orleans residents. We are helpful and harmless and don't want anything in return for our help, guidance or directions. Be careful this fun, friendly city has a soul and will steal yours. And as happened so many times before with vacationers to our city you'll go home, sell it, pack up and move back here.
One block walk to catch the city bus, 6 blocks to the street car route, same to the hop on hop off, and cabs are easy, too. My home has a bike for your use. I just walk everywhere.

Cathy is a brilliant host! With just the right amount of reliability and flexibility, professionalism and relaxedness she made our time in New Orleans special.
She provided loads of great tips for a unique city experience and her family surprised us with a heart-warming welcome.
Plus: the apartment is even more beautiful than in the pictures. We hope to come back soon!
