Overview:
The Granby Retreat at the Ranch is all about the location and view!
The Granby Retreat is a well-equipped townhome nestled on a picturesque hillside in the Granby Ranch valley just minutes from the base of Ski Granby Ranch. This 1,800-sq. ft. home can sleep up to 9 adults and 3 children (12 total). It is equipped with all you need for a relaxing vacation and ample space to spread out. In addition to two master bedrooms, it includes a large sleeping loft, a downstairs bunk room with board games, puzzles, books, and a pullout sofa in the main living area. It boasts all the comforts that you expect in a luxury vacation rental (comfortable furnishings, private hot tub, deck with a grill, modern electronics, and more). You will find careful attention to guest needs, from a high chair and infant play yard, sleds and games for the kids, to robes in the master bedroom closet.
One of the things we love about the Granby Retreat is the scenery. There is nothing between you and a breathtaking view of the valley and, further out, the peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park. The beauty can be enjoyed in every season of the year. Bring a great book and your favorite beverage because the back deck is certain to be a place of restful retreat during the warm season. When it’s cold and wintry, relax in front of the gas fireplace as you gaze out the spacious windows at snowy fields and peaks. At all times of the year, you can relax in the home’s private hot tub on the patio and take in the view, gaze at the stars, or bask in the moonlight.
For those looking for a little more action outside, this home is just a half mile from the Ski Granby ski lifts. Granby Ranch is designed and operated with families in mind. It is widely regarded as one of the best areas in Colorado to learn to ski or ride on acres of beginner slopes. Trails of varying levels of difficulty and terrain all lead back to the base area, so family and friends can easily meet back at the same place. For warm-season recreation, Granby Ranch offers mountain biking, golfing, and fishing. In the summer you can use the lift to get your bike up the mountain or to start a hike from the top going down the many trails running throughout the Ranch. The golf course offers 18 holes along the Fraser River. Our guests have access to the heated community pool, hot tub and fitness center at the base of the Resort for a daily fee.
A supermarket is just 5 minutes way. If you choose to dine out, a number of great restaurants and bars are nearby at Granby Ranch Base Camp, Silvercreek, and the town of Granby.
Granby Ranch is within a 15 to 30-minute drive to Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain Lake, Grand Lake, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Winter Park town and ski resort is less than 30 minutes away for more skiing, biking, and hiking. Hot Sulphur Springs Spa and Resort is also nearby for soaking in warm mineral springs. More recreational and spa activities are also close by at Devil’s Thumb Ranch and the YMCA’s Snow Mountain Ranch.
Come enjoy the beauty of Colorado in this spectacular getaway.

Guest access
Guests will have access to everything that our home has to offer: comfortable furniture, towels, linens, WiFi, cable and streaming TV, and a deck and private patio hot tub with amazing views. Ample storage for ski, bike and golf equipment is available in the closet off the front porch. The community pool, located near the entrance to the ski resort, is available for guest use and features a heated pool, hot tub and fitness center that are available year-round for a daily fee.
Granby Ranch has recently changed their policy for guest use of the community pool and community trails. Here are the details:
Pool: If you would like to use the community pool or hot tub, you will need to purchase a daily guest pass at the pool for $20 per person, per day. Children 8 and under are free and this also includes access to the clubhouse, game room and fitness center. For a pass to be issued you must provide proof that you are staying in this home. The welcome email or the confirmation email, showing the address, should suffice.
Trails: Granby Ranch is a little different from other ski resorts on federal land. Consisting of trails on primarily private land, all guests riding or hiking on either cross country trails or our lift-accessed downhill network must possess a valid pass or ticket product. Guests must also sign a waiver. Rates and tickets are available on the Granby Ranch website. One exception to this requirement is the Granby-to-Fraser trail, which does not require a pass or waiver.
