ENJOY YOURSELF IN RICHMOND
Bill and Lissa are very good hosts. They were very welcoming, and
checked to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay.
The apartment is quite nice--it was very comfortable, well-equipped, reasonably quiet, and everything worked well. It is quite reasonably priced given the quality of the accommodations. I had a pleasant week, and would be happy to stay with Bill and Lissa again if I needed to visit Richmond in the future.
This is my second stay at Bill and Alissa's apartment. How wonderful to arrive at this inviting home away from home, particularly as Father Winter decided to show up in the form of snow, sleet and wintry mix! The apartment is fully stocked with coffee, cereal, fresh fruit and much more. The location is superb, within walking distance of many restaurants. Also, the apartment offers off the street parking, which can best be appreciated once visitors to Bill and Lissa's get a look at the narrow streets, lined with parked cars on either side! This is my number one place to stay when visiting Richmond, definitely recommend to all visitors. Thanks for having me!
This is the second time we've stayed with Bill and Lissa and, per usual, it was delightful. We happened to be there for the great snow storm, which served to make out stay only the more cozy. Such a great little set up. We will certainly be back.
I lived in Richmond for many years and so was familiar with this wonderful location! This was our first experience with Airbnb and it could have not gone better! Bill was terrific during the reservation process and he and Lissa were great hosts once we arrived in Richmond. We attended a rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception that were close by, but it was lovely to return to this comfortable, "homey" apartment after each event. There are many restaurants close by and we particularly enjoyed getting re-acquainted with Carytown...Thoroughly recommend these hosts and their lovely accomodation!
Lovely airbnb in a great and safe neighbourhood. We received a warm welcome with a glass of wine and cheese. Off street parking is a big plus and also that you have your own, private, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and entrance. We stayed 2 nights and can recommend this to anyone. Plenty of good restaurants on walking distance. Try Sticky Rice and Kuba Kuba.
This was the second time we stayed here, and once again we had a wonderful experience. Bill is warm and welcoming, yet unobtrusive, the apartment is immaculate, comfortable, and you cannot beat the location! Also, I drove down from MA and he had a glass of wine and a snack waiting for me - so thoughtful!! Whenever we visit Richmond, we'll be contacting Bill to stay.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay. I had all the amenities of my favorite hotel but the comforts of home. Bill and Lissa were wonderful hosts - very friendly and accommodating. And my room(s) were so much more than I expected - I had space to spread out and was so comfortable. A beautiful home, a wonderful porch to enjoy the sunshine and great hosts - could not have been happier.
I am a retired corporate executive and my wife Lissa is an artist and interior designer for hotels. We relocated to Richmond in 2011 from a suburban residence, including a three horse barn, in New Jersey. We are really enjoying the new city life which allows us to walk or bicycle to an amazing range of services and activities. It reminds Lissa of living in her native London but more relaxed and quieter.
We do enjoy the beautiful Virginia countryside when we work with our horse Madison in Goochland or golf at the many courses available in the area. We hope to have a chance to share our enjoyment of the area with others.
