This was an outstanding stay, our first experience with Air BnB. The hosts were gracious and welcoming on arrival. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed including fresh fruit for breakfast and tea time. The bed was comfortable. Great value.

It was very cool living in the Fan (even for 2 days)! We spent all of our free time on the balcony, especially at night when the moon came out and a couple stars, too! And it was nice to be out late at night and not have to worry about finding street parking. That private parking spot is SO worth the money! Thank you, Bill, for a great stay!

Bill is an excellent host and his home made for a nice, relaxing weekend. We were in town for a wedding and stayed two nights, and would come back/highly recommend the place. It is quiet, spacious, and has a comfortable bed and good linens. The kitchen was stocked with fresh fruit and berries, yogurt, juice, english muffins, cereals, and a number of different teas and coffees. Plenty to discover within walking distance, be it coffee shops, restaurants, shops and the Museum of Fine Arts is only a ten minute walk.

Private second floor apartment in walking distance to many attractions and good restaurants. Plenty of cereal, coffee, tea options, etc for a continental breakfast. If we go back to Richmond we would stay here again.

Charming house in The Fan with private parking. Lovely set up with private entrance to upstairs accommodations consisting of a large bedroom, a roomy bath, a galley kitchen and a wonderful balcony with shade trees and overlooking a lovely patio/garden area. Our host Bill was very responsive and accommodating (helped us store our bicycles inside and carry luggage in) and had stocked the kitchenette with a huge array of Keurig coffees and continental breakfast fixings. The facilities were charming and clean and a perfect spot for one who would want to experience the heart of the Fan area of Richmond. Very walkable community with lots of neighborhood restaurants and near the museum district.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. Bill and Lissa have a wonderful setup at their house with a private room, full bathroom, kitchen, and balcony overlooking their beautiful garden. We would highly recommend staying here.

Bill User ProfileBill is a superhost.

I am a retired corporate executive and my wife Lissa is an artist and interior designer for hotels. We relocated to Richmond in 2011 from a suburban residence, including a three horse barn, in New Jersey. We are really enjoying the new city life which allows us to walk or bicycle to an amazing range of services and activities. It reminds Lissa of living in her native London but more relaxed and quieter.
We do enjoy the beautiful Virginia countryside when we work with our horse Madison in Goochland or golf at the many courses available in the area. We hope to have a chance to share our enjoyment of the area with others.
