Lovely Parisian family apartment on the 4th floor of an 18th century building in a popular street on the edge of the Marais.
The apartment has a large open plan living room/kitchen, one bathroom with separate bath tub and shower and two bedrooms (one has a large sofa bed).
Double glazing on the side looking over the street and park, the bedrooms look over the Parisian courtyard roofs.
Every modern convenience (sic) plus sheets, towels etc. but still no lift/elevator after 10 years of fighting and winning through the French courts!!!
Every type of traditional French food store can be found within 200 meters max PLUS cafés, restaurants, chemists, supermarkets, markets (Marché des Enfants Rouges) and a Park.
I keep one cupboard in the second bedroom locked for personal stuff and otherwise guests have access to every thing and plenty of storage space.
The internet and TV are supplied by high speed fiber optic cable. Calls to landlines in most countries are free.
Interaction with Guests
If I am renting you my whole apartment, you may only meet my very kind Concierge and her husband but I can discuss the renting out of just one room to someone willing to put up with a grumpy old widower!
I have been living in France for 40 years and can try and help out if required. This is our family home that we rent out regularly on other sites.
If you are a young or old"bobo" you will love the area if you don't know it already.
The Picasso and Pompidou museums are just two of many close, there are hundreds of galleries, chic, clothes shops, bars, cafés etc. The Canal St Martin and the Bastille areas are also close by.
Downstairs you can rent municipal bikes and electric cars. There are many bus routes and at least six metro stations very close by. (15 minutes walk)
Have a look at Google Maps/ Corner of Rue des Archives, rue de Bretagne.
Other Things to Note
I am very happy to help you with any questions. I also have a large loft in Sète, near Montpelier (which is also for rent or sale).
As I have to move out of Paris and take a 3 hour TGV train when I rent I cannot take Bookings for less than 3 nights. - Well 3 Nights is the minimum tariff.
1 This is our family home.
2 We have neighbors and wooden floors (please try and remove high heels when entering).
3 If you really must smoke, please lean out of the window in the living room (not too much).
4 No candles in the bedrooms.
5 No more than 6 people staying overnight.
6 Last but not least - I hate this and in six years we have had only one bad experience - the deposit will not be refunded if there are complaints from the neighbors about raucous parties involving more than 8 people! Sorry but this is not a great place for Stag weekends etc. as the lovely neighbors work and some of them have young children (whom we can't hear!).
LASTLY there have been one or two cases where more than the announced number have stayed in our home. In future we we will have to charge out of the deposit.
