We had a terrific time at Gabriele and Viktor's. The place was absolutely wonderful, immaculately clean and true to its description. The views were amazing! We enjoyed waking up to the peaceful scenery and eating the tasty treats left by our hosts, including eggs from their chickens, bacon, juice, and assorted cereals and yogurt. It was also very close to all the sights - Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, etc., This place truly made our stay in Ireland memorable. Gabriele and Viktor were also perfect hosts, very welcoming and kind. We wished we could have stayed longer, and we would definitely stay again at this truly outstanding location!
Gabriele and Viktor were very kind and generous hosts. We really appreciated the food supplies they provided. The house was lovely and immaculately clean. A beautiful and tranquil spot.
Despite arriving after 11:00 pm, we were greeted in the drive by Viktor and made welcome to the house. It was very comfortable and nicer than we expected, given the rural setting. The kitchen contained a lovely selection of granola, muesli, yogurt, cold meats, eggs, bread, tea, coffee, juice and milk for breakfast. It was very well fitted out, although we did not cook anything more than eggs for breakfast. Beds are comfortable, house is clean and well-built. The house is hard to find, along a wooded rural lane, and it does back up to the Atlantic. Recommend NOT arriving in the middle of the night, if possible. GPS and cell phone coverage should be expected to be spotty in this area. There is wi-fi in the house, but again, the connection can be spotty.
In the morning, Viktor came over to check on us and to offer touring tips. One of his recommendations regarding travel directions and available ferries made our trip much more enjoyable and allowed us to see more of the countryside than we had thought we would be able to. Bravo! We never met Gabriele, but Viktor is an excellent host. Our only disappointment was not seeing the goats, but then that may have been a blessing, too!
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at this home! The privacy was perfect and the views from the backyard were just stunning. I would recommend this listing to anyone traveling to West Ireland. Our hosts were so warm and our experience was absolutely lovely.
Great place to stay and the perfect base for day trips. Everything you need is available in the house and it was presented very accurately in the pictures. All communication was prompt and helpful. Would happily stay here again!
Our five days on the goat farm were truly wonderful. It's only a three hour drive from Dublin, and close enough to Galway and other parts of the West for day trips, but rural enough to really relax. The house was superb - impeccably clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable. The farm was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Gabrielle and Victor have thought of everything, and we felt completely welcomed. We highly recommend the goat farm, and would happily stay there again.
