The space
Teitei Permaculture Farm is 19.2Km up the valley from Sigatoka town. On a 30 acre farm surrounded by beautiful valleys and mountains. There are two nice beaches half an hour away.

We raise happy chickens, ducks, geese, honeybees and fish and grow coconuts, cassava, papayas, pineapples, ginger, lemons, corn, peanuts, bananas, sweet potato, sorghum, guava, breadfruit, jackfruit, cashews, sandalwood and more. Some things are strongly seasonal so we supplement from our neighbors farms or the farmers market in town if we run short.

All meals and snacks are included in our rate and we can work with most dietary restrictions.

Tetei guests are welcome to take a free guided farm tour, ask questions, pitch in, etc.

Our farm is a recognized permaculture site.

Our rate is US$48 per person per night
and for Children (age 5-12) $24 per night.
Kids under 5 stay free.

We recommend booking 3 nights and extending once you are here. Our weekly rate is stay 6 nights get one night free!

Farm activities are included at no extra cost
(swimming in the river, hiking in the area,
evening bond-fires, local cooking etc.)

Some activities are charged (town and beach outings, massages, horse rides, tubing down the river etc.) but our activities are very affordable as well as helping the local community.

Group rates available for larger parties.
Extended stay rates available.

Other things to note
ABOUT OUR FOOD
At least half of our food is either from our farm or from the local market. Our farm is near organic – no herbicides or pesticides, some fertilizer is used. Local market foods are also near organic except for off-season crops, which we avoid. We have a lot of Indian and Fijian dishes, but are always experimenting, and can adjust menus within reason to cater to our guests. Everyone eats in the main house, and we try to all gather for dinner.
Three meals are provided daily: breakfast,, lunch, and dinner. Plus tea coffee or a snack are always available.

We live in a safe area. No thefts in 11 years here.

THE DOWN SIDE - to be candid - the animals can get noisy and sometimes poop where we wish they wouldn't. We do what we can, but insects can be bothersome at times (our rooms are fully screened, so mosquitoes at night are not usually a problem, but we have an on-going battle with non-biting ants).

We are an expat American family (world citizens at heart) who live on a sustainable practice farm. Working to improve food security. "Teitei" means farm. We have a healthy lifestyle with great food featuring a lot of produce from the farm. At times even chocolate ! Being creative in the kitchen is one of life's pleasures.. :) If you love fresh air, stars at night, and a natural environment (and don't mind some noisy animals and a few insects), then you'll enjoy it here.
