A wonderful, cozy place, just about 10 minute walk to 'downtown' Paonia. Jay welcomed us & gave suggestions for restaurants & hikes. It's a very quiet, peaceful location & very clean, with lots of windows.
Another blessed week in Jay and Amy's beautiful little cottage. Wonderful energy in this space!
Had a great time spending a week at the garden kitchen! Had everything you could need and felt as cozy as home. Awesome space awesome town!
Jay was a lovely and welcoming host, and only checked in on us to introduce himself and to make sure we were happy with everything. The cottage was the perfect place to stay for a quiet weekend getaway with my partner. It was a nice central location to go out and explore the North Fork Valley area, and we were able to take in many of the local farms and wineries.
Jay's cottage is awesome! My husband, myself and our 7 month old stayed for two nights and felt very comfortable. Even though the cottage is behind his house there is a lot of privacy. The cottage was clean and felt spacious. We appreciated the small cooking area, the back patio and the comfy bed. Jay was an excellent host and even took the time to chat with us about Paonia. We loved our vacation in the valley and went home with the most delicious peaches known to man!
This is a sacred beautiful clean space w such a lovely relaxed area also to sit in the shade outside. I have stayed there for a week in winter where it was cozy and now a week in summer where it stayed cool. Jay was quickly responsive when we asked him for anything. An added bonus was the sound of their 4 year old son laughing in the evening.
Our experience at the Garden Cottage was simple terrific. I stayed with my partner and 9 month old baby son. Everything was clean, comfortable, ecofriendly and just charming. Paonia is quiet and beautiful just like Jay's cottage. We would have loved to stay longer, hopefully we'll be back soon enough.
I share a roof with my wife Amy and 4 year old son Edan. I am a freelance TV producer and artist. We live in Paonia due to its high quality of living standards, sustainability, water supplies, and ability to grow food. We try to escape to Tucson Arizona for much of the winter to follow the fair weather and visit family. We love camping, music festivals, the desert, the mountains, and tequila.
