The Snookmore is perfectly located just 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8 miles from downtown Asheville. Just hop on the Parkway and have the Appalachian wilderness at your beck and call or mosey on down to the hottest town the South has to offer.

Its only neighbors are ourselves and our other rental house, the Snookery.

Note on Helene: we were very luck in Snookville with a lot of downed trees, but nothing structural. There are still outages, but the generators keep the power on.

The space
Nestled in the southern tip of Snookville, the Snookmore is designed for front porch rocking. With the Blue Ridge Mountains peaking through the treetops and the community garden just a stone's throw away, all you'll need is a iced beverage of your choosing and life will slow right on down.

The house itself is both cozy and has room to spread out. Newly constructed in 2107, it has a fully equipped kitchen for the gourmet chef, the option of a Keurig, Coffee maker or hot tea pot for the morning haze, and both a dining room and back porch dining table for any meal setting you please. Also on the back porch you'll find a grill for the vacation cookout and a hot tub for the end of the day wind down. Up on the second floor, there's another porch off both bedrooms that's nestled into the Carolina woods. Down on the ground level, there's room to relax and play with a carved out nook for darts as well as a foosball table and big screen TV. With Roku installed and free Netflix, it's perfect for that rainy day movie. Top all that off with a fire pit for late night s'mores roasting, and you've got the perfect home base for your Appalachian adventure. The only trick will be leaving the Snookmore!

Guest access
You will have the whole house to yourself as well as access to the community garden, which has two picnic tables, a sandbox and a "tower" clubhouse with climbing walls for the little ones.

Other things to note
The kitchen is fully equipped with the tools to make any meal, along with olive oil, salt and pepper. The linens are provided, as is a pack n' play and high chair.

I'm a theatre artist, teacher, husband and father. We started hosting Airbnb guests from our Nook (the apartment in our house) upon our arrival in Asheville three years ago. Since we have added two houses (The Snookmore and The Snookery) as well as a glamping spot (The Snookstream). Never idle, we're currently constructing the Snookspace, which will provide our guests with a covered outdoor pavilion for their special events. We just love being able to share our slice of heaven with the world!
