Fantastic villa, contemporary Mexican style, with amazing views to the bay of Puerto Vallarta. The living room area is open to a very large terrace with an infinity pool and every room in the house has an uninterrupted oceanfront view!
New Mexican villa within a private gated community with palapa, infinity pool, 3 large double bedrooms, onsite staff and the best view of the Bay (nearly 360º, like living on a boat). At Conchas Chinas (the Beverly Hills of Puerto Vallarta), just 6 minutes from downtown Vallarta and its fantastic nightlife and restaurants. Enjoy a margarita by the pool, a candlelit dinner or a picnic at the beach (half a mile from the house).
The top floor (street level) has: a large kitchen with open windows to the ocean and all modern appliances (incl. dishwasher), laundry room, a very large living room with a sitting area for 14-16 people, a dining room for 10, a patio with fountain, guest bathroom, 6-speaker sound system (also in the terrace), the terrace with your private infinity pool (7x4 meters), an outside sitting area for 10 and a lounge area with 4 sunbeds.
The second floor has a hall with a water feature, 3 large bedrooms, each bedroom with ensuite bathroom, oceanfront shower and a private terrace. The last floor has the staff quarters, equipment and service rooms and storage area.
The house enjoys very high ceilings (more than 3.5 meters), all the modern amenities, internet (WIFI in every floor), satellite TV (main bedroom and living room), A/C in every bedroom and 24 hour security.
An easy 5-star rating. Beautiful villa with one of the best views on the coast, a great host (Javier) with strong communication, and 5-star service from Martin and Naomi - house chef and maintenance (yeah, you get a personal chef).
We had the pleasure of staying in Casa LapaLapa for 5 days where we had meals prepared by Martin every morning (and one lunch), watched the sunset over the infinity pool horizon and Los Arcos, and basked at local beaches in the area.
Before we arrived, Javier answered all our questions, usually within a few hours and suggested excellent and detailed plans/ideas for our carefree vacation.
The villa was beautiful and tidily kept. It is located in a safe, gated community (not that safety ever crossed our minds in Vallarta - wonderfully friendly, and policed). The view from the sundeck was breathtaking. Prepare to get return texts and snapchats from friends back home full of hate and jealousy. The house has a wonderful Mexican charm, and character. I wouldn't expect a luxury resort in terms of amenities, but the villa had everything we needed for our stay - towels, wifi upstairs, clean rooms/bathrooms, and the necessary toiletries.
The food, was exquisite - and probably the most underrated part of staying there. We opted for typical Mexican fare for most of the meals. Each plate was prepared fresh with ingredients bought that day (give him money for taxi and groceries) and complimented with hand squeezed orange juice or lemonade (MinuteMaid is for peasants). I have no idea how he quickly whipped up some of these gourmet meals, but everything that came out of that kitchen was a mixture of culinary excellence, and straight up wizardry. I had simply mentioned that I liked my eggs spicy in the middle of the meal, and about 4 minutes later, out popped a fresh-ground, picante sauce. Two course breakfasts left us full till 2pm. And our lunch was so good, we asked that the carnitas be used again for breakfast the next day! Can't say enough about the food.
The service was fit for a king. Martin and Naomi prepare coffee/tea and bring it to you as you lay poolside. They waited on us for each meal and took care of all kitchen duties in the background. We often played Mexican charades as we tried to figure out what the other one was saying (brush up on your Spanish - a small language barrier).
Other than that, I do recommend renting a car if you plan on traveling back and forth in and out of Vallerta, but not a necessity. It made our vacation a bit more carefree. Can't wait to come back, will probably send my parents here for vacation soon.
Throw your worries to the wind, amigo. This is paradise.
Great experience! We took our 3 kids who are in their teens and had a wonderful time. Marten and Naomi are wonderful. Marten cooked wonderfully and gave me a short lesson on how to make guacamole. Marten was very helpful in arranging cabs for us. Naomi cleaned every morning. The house is beautiful and relaxing. We did nothing but hang out at the house for 3 days and it was perfect. For the other days, we did ziplining and went to Las Calestas. We recommend those excursions as well. It was a wonderful vacation -- despite the storms. We played family games and just read. I felt very relaxed.
Our stay at the house house was wonderful. Martin is a pleasure and does his own thing during the day. We asked him to make breakfast everyday and two dinners. Never met/ saw Javier but he was great to communicate with over email. I really can't think of one negative thing to say about our stay!
There is a beach within walking distance that we went to just about everyday! Martin called a van can for us one night, drivers name was Freddie, and we ended up using him the whole time! Hopefully Martin can get the same driver for you!
Excellent in every way! The review that's on the page is spot on: house is much nicer than the pictures, Javier, Martin and Noemi know how to take care of their guests, and we even got to whale watch. Could not imagine a better place to stay in Vallarta -- except if you are looking to go out to the newer trendy hangouts, which are around the marina / airport. The house is a destination on its own, highly recommend it!
We recently had an amazing 5-day vacation at this Oceanfront Villa in PV. We were welcomed warmly by Martin and Noemi, who care for the house and its guests during your whole stay. The home is actually even more beautiful than the pictures reveal. It's comprised of a huge outdoor living room on the main floor which feels like a luxury tree house set in to the jungle. The 180 degree views of the Bay of Banderas provides constant entertainment with whale sightings and boat watching, not to mention the stunning sunsets. The bedrooms are gorgeous suites, each with their own balcony and large washrooms. The home is very secure with a gated and guarded entrance (24/7). The biggest surprise for our stay was that Martin is an incredible and experienced chef who is very eager to cook for the guests. We'd highly recommend that when you arrive, you provide him a shopping list and some money (also taxi fare to get to and from the supermarket). Delicious breakfasts are his specialty, and if you're not dining out in the evening, pre-plan with him to cook you a dinner - you won't be disappointed. Javier was a wonderful host and was terrific with all our communications; from booking the place to providing directions for the taxi when we arrived. We certainly will hope to have the opportunity to return to the Villa Lapa Lapa next year. Thank you again Javier, Martin and Noemi!
This was the first time I used AirBNB and I was nervous renting a place with no reviews. The pics looked beautiful so I decided to take a risk but then I started worrying that the pics were done in a way to look better and bigger the way real estate listings often do.
Well, the pictures do not do the place justice. It's only a 20-30min drive from the PV airport, and the place is in a tiny, quiet gated community. You walk in with a stunning view of the infinity pool and the ocean. The staff, Naomi and Martin are friendly and warm and they clean up after you, will cook for you if you like, etc. If you want a quiet place to relax in gorgeous settings, this is the place to be. The bedrooms are huge, each with their own beautiful showers (pretty awesome to be taking a shower while looking out the shower window and watching the sunset over the ocean). We love to cook so we cooked a few dinners and meals ourselves (renting a car is suggested, then you can make trips to the grocery stores for water and other food supplies) but our best meals was when we asked Martin to cook. Martin is a former chef and his meals were gourmet. I arranged for him to buy lobster and shrimp the evening of our arrival and he cooked up a feast. His fish tacos were better than the higher end restaurant we tried in downtown PV. If you want quiet, this is the place to be. There is so much space so even with 3 couples, you have plenty of private space to hang out if you need "alone" time. There isn't much that is walking distance so I'd suggest rental car (don't rent from Thrifty, they have a scam where they claim to look at all the damage on the car in the beginning but then look under the bumper when you return to claim you created scratches charging you an additional $180!).
The kitchen has a 5 range gas stove, all the pots and pans and tons of utensils . Everything is clean and tastefully decorated without clutter. There is a TV with DVD player in the main living area as well as a TV in the master bedroom. We only had 5 people in the house, it could easily accommodate more and feels so spacious. There is a local beach 2-3 min away by car but the house was so beautiful and peaceful, we spent a lot of time there, cooling off in the pool, reading, etc. There is Wifi upstairs and downstairs and it was only occasionally spotty but otherwise perfectly fine for (website hidden) and web surfing, work emails, etc. I highly, highly recommend. The huse and staff are 5 stars and Javier is responsive by email (typically responds immediately and will make sure you have everything you need)
