Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
To view sunsets, wide open, star filled, and moon lit night skies with the Milky Way and a few satellites as a bonus, simply step out the door of this cozy little rustic, dry, one room mountainside cabin, to disconnect from (Wi-Fi ) and chaos
The Little Cabin offers a mountainside basecamp, getaway, vacation or a more scenic overnight travel stop to allow you and your fur baby to enjoy some Wyoming open space.

The space
Enjoy Coffee left at the front door. Experience life on the mountain, disconnected from the chaos with calming views, wide open skies and soothing sounds of nature. The lack of light pollution makes Star Gazing from the gazebo or Little Cabin patio amazing, with the Milky Way and some satellites as an added bonus! If you love a full moon the Little Cabin is a great place to watch the moon rise and set. The moon light shines over the mountain as if there were a nightlight in the sky. There are various outdoor activities i.e. hiking trails, Public River Accesses, Plains & Mtn Lakes, Down Hill Skiing, Rock Climbing, Hot Springs and River Rafting with in a 10-90 mile radius. The Gazebo or Little Cabin porch can accommodate a Yoga or Meditation practice. The Little Cabin is stocked with most anything you'll need for basic cooking/dining needs. If you're looking for a mountain get away, a base camp to come home to after a day of fun or an over night travel stop to see a little more of Wyoming and a place for your fur baby(s) to run, with out going too far off route, please, come enjoy my little slice of heaven.

Guest access
The Little Cabin is dry, but does have an outhouse. The 15 acres of property is surrounded by public land that guest may access from off of the property. Fur babies are fine off leash if the guest is comfortable. Guest are welcome to walk the property. We've cut a trail that makes for a nice walk loop without leaving the property. I have a fence around the main house. There is Wi-Fi available at the main house for for folks that need to ck in with someone while traveling and/or for emergencies. Guest should have movies, books & music downloaded prior to arrival to enjoy in the cabin. Wi-Fi is too slow for downloading.

Other things to note
For the most part The Little Cabin is accessible year round. There are always the “Big Storms” that close the surrounding roads in the winter but for the most part with a 4 wheel or all wheel drive and good tires you can make it up the hill during the winter months and with out 4wheel the other months.
The Little Cabin is dry = no water. There is electricity, electric heat.
ALL linens/bedding are provided.
We love fur babies. Off leash is fine if the guest is comfortable with that. There is a fenced yard around the main house.
The guests pups do great here.

Neighborhood highlights

The Little Cabin offers an isolated getaway on the side of a mountain. Public land surrounds the property, with public access to the river just across hwy 10 and another north on 10. There's a public walk path next to the river and fishing is allowed in designated areas.
The Little Cabin is 30 miles out of Laramie, WY.
Woodslanding Restaurant and Bar 2.5 miles 230 & 10
Albany Lodge restaurant is about 15 miles hwy 11
WY Colo Lodge restaurant is about 12-15 miles 230
Woodslanding Resort also does some package liquor sales out of the bar.
All 3 have winter/summer hours available on their web sites.
There is no place to get groceries, gas or alcohol out here. Stop at the last town before you head here. Depending on the direction you are coming from you'll have spotty to no cell service. Have directions saved.
Bugling Elk Trail is a private road with a few homes and pets on it. Please drive slowly and keep sound on radio down. There are two gates you will go thru, if they are closed, they swing DOWN HILL, park back so they can swing open, please shut them behind you. (There are short periods of time during the year the ranchers have their cattle loose during which time gates are closed, other wise gates are open.)
Depending on the season, there is a lot of wild life - birds, chip monks, rabbits, coyotes, deer.
There are no other homes once you pass thru my header gate, so you will only see people if you choose to leave the property.

Always evolving, sometimes screaming, with heels dug in. I began hosting because I love the Hallmark Christmas movies. I want to share what I call my little slice of heaven, a place where all are welcome and made to feel they always have a home in Wyoming.
