The space
A perfect space for couples, artists, or anybody looking for a quiet retreat or work-from home alternative. Newly established in 2016, Adelaide Hill is a 2000- square foot, three level upscale home with everything you need for a mountain vacation. It's all yours! You will have access to the whole house (except for two bedrooms which will be locked or cordoned off), everything else depicted in the photos are spaces that you can enjoy, with complete privacy. Two bedrooms will be locked off, but there is still plenty of house for you to enjoy! To be clear, this is not a shared rental. There will be NO OTHER GUESTS in the house. IT’S ALL YOURS. The reason I am able to offer the home in a much lesser rate is because it saves me in cleaning fees by keeping the two bedrooms locked off. There is still plenty of house to enjoy. It is perfect for couples or a small family who don't really need that much house. Again, this is not a shared rental. There will be no other renters in the house except you. Please do not email me with the questions “Are we sharing the house with other guests?” Or “Will we have the house all to ourselves?”. It’s all yours. There are no other renters staying with you. This is not a shared rental.
Daphne's Den has one flat screen TV (One smart enabled), Directv, Netflix, Broadband internet, a Weber Kettle BBQ grill, board games, DVD player and a collection of movies to choose from, a Jawbone Jambox speaker to pair with the phone, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, coffee makers and design, art, meditation and travel books for your enjoyment. Luxury Linens and towels are provided for everyone to use.
You will be sleeping in a heavenly Aireloom California King bed fitted with imported Italian linens (Frette, Sferra, Nancy Koltes), a full bathroom with two shower heads, and Morrocan-style floor bed in the sunken living room.. Relax by the fireplace under soaring ceilings and cozy cashmere blankets, or for the musicians out there hop to the up-right piano we have for you to play. The night sky in Pine Mountain Club is known to be one of the darkest in Southern California and the Central Valley — perfect for stargazing. You’ll see the brightest moons and the galaxy like never before.
The dining table seats 10 people but can be extended if necessary. Plus there are three additional bar stools over the kitchen bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel dishwasher, refrigerator equipped with cold filtered water for drinking, microwave, a full gas range, fully stocked pantry with everything you need to make your own gourmet meals. Additional amenities include a drip coffee maker, Nespresso machine (please bring capsules if you want to use this), an Italian Bialletti, a Coffee press, a milk frother, coffee grinder, toaster, dishes, utensils, All-clad pots and pans, Le Creuset pots, Slow cooker and blender. We love to cook so you will have access to all the herbs and spices in our pantry and a whole array of cookbooks. We recommend guests buy groceries prior to check in. Once you arrive you will not want to leave.
Additional features of the home include a full size washer and dryer, centralized heat which is controlled by a Nest Thermostat, air conditioners, one standing air conditioner, ceiling fan, and an electric heater.
There is a Big Jambox bluetooth stereo so you can pair your smart phones and listen to your favorite music all throughout the house. Books, playing cards, poker chips, board games, chess boards and puzzles are available for your enjoyment.
A panoramic view ranges from Mt. Abel to the left, the Apache Saddle directly in front and a breathtaking, incredible view of the Los Padres National Forest beyond. Daphne's Den boasts a jacuzzi spa and outdoor hammock. When the sun goes down, let the sound of the wind through the pines serenade you to sleep.
Daphne’s Den at Adelaide Hill is a quiet mountain retreat designed for rest and reset.
Whether you’re escaping the city for a few days, working on a creative project, or simply needing stillness, this space offers a peaceful environment surrounded by trees and fresh mountain air.
Guests often tell us the quiet here allows them to slow down, sleep deeply, and reconnect with themselves.
With four distinct seasons, you can visit in Fall and watch autumn colors light up the mountainsides. Snow creates a magical winter wonderland, Spring rains give way to the resurgence of native wild flowers and roses. Adelaide Hill was built with love and awareness. We hope that your stay will be influenced by the energies that surround and created this meaningful place.

CLEANING at Checkout:
While we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that prior to leaving, you scrub off excess food debris from your dirty dishes or kitchenware prior to running the dishwasher, and put away any pots and pans used. Please put any dirty towels in the hamper provided for you by the laundry area. It helps us get through our cleaning process
quicker and allows us to keep cleaning costs down for you and future guests.
Very important: We also kindly request that you drop off your trash at the nearby Transfer Site (it’s a two minute drive, behind the Clubhouse) upon your departure. If you prefer to leave the garbage behind, it will incur a $50 charge which will then be passed on to our cleaning lady.
Please note that the Transfer Site closes at 5PM. Adequate trash bags will be provided.
Here are directions to the transfer site: Drive down the hill on Ironwood towards Cedarwood Drive and turn LEFT on Cedarwood Drive. Turn RIGHT on Mil Potrero Highway. Take the 1st LEFT onto Arctic Drive. Take the 2nd RIGHT onto Aleutian Drive and you will reach the Transfer Site when this road ends. It should only be a 2 minute drive from the house.
NO-Noise Policy/QUIET TIME:
Our HOA enforces a noise ordinance designated as Pine Mountain Club’s "quiet hours"—from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and until 8 or 9 a.m. on weekends.
Sound carries far in our mountains so the noise you make can be continuously disruptive to our neighbors. Excessive noise, whether from loud parties, blaring radios, or continuous loud chatter at night, violate other neighbor’s right to peace and quiet. If a neighbor complains, our PMC Patrol will be at the door and may penalize us up to $1,000 for the violation. This penalty will be passed on to you and your party.
We kindly request that you abide by our Quiet Hours to avoid such headaches and to ensure that everyone has a good night’s sleep.
SPECIAL REQUESTS Add-On:
If you are celebrating a birthday, wedding anniversary, or simply want to arrange a romantic getaway, we can customize your stay according to your wishes. Just let us know ahead of time so we can put together a package and give you a reasonable quote.
