The historic walls from the beginning of 1900 breathe history from all corners and angles. The unusual architecture overwhelms you as soon as you enter. There are hundreds of details to discover in this lovingly furnished house. Take advantage of the extraordinary flair of this original building for your stay.
The room on the 2nd floor is separate from our 2nd Airbnb accommodation. It has its own separate bathroom that is used exclusively by you.

The space
The house is situated in the center of Bad Honnef. The S-Bahn and Deutsche Bahn are within approx. 10 minutes on foot. Alternatively, buses run regularly. Connections to Bonn and Cologne are easily possible. The train takes 35 minutes to the airport, Bonn can be reached in 20 minutes. The Cologne trade fair can be reached by car in a good 30 minutes.

Guest access
We are happy to welcome you in person at check-in. Thanks to electronic door access, our guests can also arrive flexibly at any time. Our guests have access to the garden terrace with a closed courtyard on the ground floor.
We provide coffee and tea to our guests free of charge.

Other things to note
The old brick wall breathes history. Built around 1904 by the well-known architect Ottomar Stein as the Paffrath house, it was used as a detached house with guest rooms. The rooms on the ground floor and 1st floor are still largely preserved in their original condition. You can easily imagine how the guests came together in the breakfast room. Fortunately, the many fireplaces, shown in the present original building drawings, have given way to our modern heating.
The roof was destroyed in the war. In 1948, the castle battlements gave way to an increase in the building's height, so that another apartment was created in the house. From the tower, which has also been raised, you can now look directly at the Drachenfels, the landmark of the Siebengebirge.
In the 1970s, the post office used the building as a parcel post. Many Bad Honnefer still know the house from picking up their packages. With much effort, it was then returned to its original state. The original wooden floorboards, the wall paneling, the doors and windows have been preserved and give an idea of how things went at the turn of the last century. But don't worry, the plumbing, electrical and heating are up to date.
If you want to be captivated by the historical charm of our house, then enjoy your stay in our tasteful apartment. Perhaps you, like us, can also imagine which guests this house has already seen in its history and which encounters have probably already taken place here.
