Large, city views, bright room with tempurepedic king-size bed, study table, chairs, good storage space for longer stays, equiped and serviced, quiet, 4th floor in elevator building, close to all in the Sunnyside community and the city.

My location is two blocks south from Queens Blvd ( and subway entrance), on 40th Street, at intersection with Greenpoint Avenue. The kitchen is small but can accommodate light cooking. Your room has an ironing board with iron, steamer, hair dryer, city guides, extra towels/bedding, a small and a bigger closet and big drawers for storage, a writing table. Building is very clean and located only two blocks from the number 7 subway (stop 40th Street/ Lowery). Free access to a land-line phone.
When home, I live quietly in the other room, we share the common space and I clean the apartment almost every day.
In general- morning or otherwise, you'll never have to wait for me because I'll shower only when you're out.
Interaction with Guests
I like a person that's friendly, easy-going and responsible. I'm here to help you make the most out of your visit and not interfere otherwise.
Price is best I can do and only bookings thru the site can be made, thanks for understanding.
No smoking, no loud music! Please apply make-up outside the bathroom, plenty of mirrors everywhere. I have two separate bags for trash and recyclable. Feel free to use any product in the bathroom, any space you may need. You"ll find extra towels, sheets and blankets in the yellow cabinet. Please understand that this is a modest apartment, with live-in host. Certainly not a hotel setting but, hopefully you'll get to feel at home instead.
I spent almost seven weeks with Lulia in her very comfortable, clean apartment. The description of the apartment was accurate. My room was bright and airy, one of the most comfortable bed's I have slept on, and the view of Manhatten in the distance always put a smile on my face in the morning and evenings.
I loved the diverse
neighbourhood, and the feeling of living in a safe neighbourhood.
The apartment is near all amenities, fantastic restaurants, grocery stores and the subway which is only a 7 minutes walk away, very easy into Manhatten.
Lulia is one of the most generous people have I met, very helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
If I go back to New York I will definitely be stay with Lulia.
I stayed in Iulia's apartment for more than 20 days. The location is great---a few minutes' walking distance to a big supermarket, several restaurants and Line 7 subway.
The bedroom and bathroom are very clean and well arranged. Iulia vacuums the apartment on a regular basis. She provides all the daily necessities, so guests can choose not to bring their own with them. Guests have free access to her kitchen and cookware.
Iulia is a very nice person. During my stay, she always invited me to try her food she just cooked. She gave me her own laundry card and insisted that I should not pay her back. Her mother and brother sometimes showed up in her apartment-both are very nice people. Her mother made me some cheesecake and her brother offered to give me a ride to Brooklyn. What a hospitable family!
Iulia offered to host me one more night free of charge to make up for the first night I totally wasted because of a flight cancellation. Although I had to leave because of a schedule conflict, I'd appreciate her offer very much! I am pretty sure all the future guests will have the same nice experience during their stay as I did.
I have a wonderful 2 months in Julia's house. It just like live in friend's house. The room is very cozy, have enough place for my two months luggage. The bed is so comfortable that I still miss it now. I commute everyday to Manhattan midtown, it's about 6mins walk to the metro, about 15 mins to Manhattan. Julia is a very responsible host that she talk care of me so well. It was a wonderful place for travel or short term study like me.
It was my first visit to NY and first experience with airbnb. It was great! Iulia was kind, helpful... the room superb (with a great view of Manhattan in the distance), the neighborhood safe, close to a bakery, several ethnic restaurants, a mini market, and the apartment just 3 blocks away from the subway that takes you directly to Times Square (20'). I hope I was a good guest so that Iulia accepts me when a I go to NY again :).
Warmly greeted at the door!
