Great check-in experience

Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
The Dome is soothing & nurturing, with spectacular mountain views and backing to greenbelt. Open living/dining area w/ loft for meditation, yoga & play. Fully equipped open-shelf kitchen with gas range & all appliances; washer/dryer; WiFi. Cozy in winter with radiant floor heat and wood stove (addon cost for use). Perfect get-away; visit sand dunes & hot springs, hike, explore, relax, and enjoy Crestone too. SEE OUR GUIDEBOOK AND REVIEWS!

The space
The dome interior is soothing and nurturing, with natural plaster walls and adobe floor, and curved spaces that recirculate air and energy. Situated in open forests, transitional between alpine and high desert ecotones, the air can be absolutely still, the sky spacious, and at other times subject to sun and storm. Deer abound, coyotes howl. Winding paths lead through the open forest to Rangsal Yeshe stupa (15 minutes). Forest Service trailheads are just up the road (a 5-min drive or 25-min walk) and the property is close to town (a 7-min drive, or a 35-min cross country hike). Visit nearby spiritual centers, organic foods market, art collective, brewery, hiking and biking, Sand Dunes National Monument, and (our favorite) soak in several nearby hot springs. We can help with your visit! (Note, winters are cold and summers are hot!, and there can be bugs late June-July.)

Guest access
Entire home. Access via Keypad.

The driveway is U-shaped; we recommend the upper entrance. The property is accessed via a flight of stairs and a pathway of gravel and uneven flagstone, illuminated at night by motion-activated lighting. See the photos before booking, to make sure you are comfortable on this terrain.

Other things to note
EXTRA BED. We can make up an extra Queen sized, 6-inch foam mattress in our loft; the cost is $25.

ABOUT PETS AND CHILDREN. We are sorry but we cannot allow pets or children, as the woodstove and the potential for falls from our loft pose signficant safety hazards. We are not able to make exceptions to this rule.

ADOBE FLOORS. Please be gentle on our soft adobe floors. They are easily scratched and absorb spilled liquids. Thank you!

NOTE ABOUT WOODSTOVE USE. Woodstoves are wonderful, and also difficult to operate and manage! We require that guests bring (or buy from us) manufactured wood - this allows us to provide a woodstove experience - otherwise, we would need to remove the woodstove.
