Guest access
Guests have access to the entire yurt area and surrounding woods (c. 40 acres).

This area of Mehoopany is sometimes called Champion Mountain, so named for the family who once live on our property. The ruins of their old homestead dates back to the late 1700s. The are only about 10 other houses within a mile of the cabin and many of them are our relatives, as one might expect for an old family farm.

The closest public transportation available is in either Scranton or Wilkes-Barre. Our guests drive their cars or rent one to get to the country.

Check in time is from 3-6pm. This is strictly enforced. Late comers will be charged a $50 inconvenience fee. No check in allowed after 8pm.

Other things to note
Hunting is not allowed on our property while our guests are in residence. We have posted clear no hunting signs on our property.
Hunting seasons in Pennsylvania are noted on the Pennsylvania State Game Commission website.

We have a house on property and we may host other guests there. We will always let you know if there are guests there and we will always ask them to respect your privacy.
This yurt is in the woods and we do have insects. Please be prepared and do not leave doors and windows open if you do not want bugs flying in.
