Our mountain house Storflisan was built 2015. The house is top modern, light and with a lot of funny details. It is specially design by an architect and made for large families and groups of friends and the perfect place to stay if you want to have a week in the beautiful mountains. The ski-lifts is not far away, just as the big bunch of trails and cross-country skiing tracks.

The space
The house is our darling! It is welcoming, warm and friendly. The big open space with kitchen and living room area is the heart of the house with a stunning view over the mountains (Rödfjället/ Red Mountains).

With a fully equipped kitchen, and a gas grill on the porch you can cook big, warming dinners and with the house comes access to a sauna (vedeldad) specially designed with a window overlooking the valley, mountains and river.

The bathroom is super fresh with shower and towel dryer.

The two smaller bedrooms with bunkbeds are light but cozy. The lower bed is wider (120 cm) so two small people / kids can sleep there. On the loft there is two beds that you can move together to make one big if you want to sleep close. The stairs up to the loft is very steep. To get to the loft you have to climb a wooden ladder.

Guest access
As guest you have access to the sauna, just 30 m. from the main house. The sauna is shared with another household in the same family. If both houses are occupied at the same time - please make an agreement to share the hours equally (either access every other day or split the day in two).

In front of the house there is a parking lot with room for two small or one big car at your disposal.

Thé, salt, pepper and of course spices are free for you to use.

We provide toilet paper, soap, dishwasher detergent tablets and so on.

Please notice that we do not provide towels or bed linens at all. However there is a service in the village Funäsdalen, where you can rent things like that.

Other things to note
No shoes inside!

Important: shoes with spikes destroy the floors!!!

We have no possibility to provide towels or bed linens. Please bring your own. There is also an option to rent bed linens or most anything else in Funäsdalen at Stugvarden.se

Where you’ll be

Harjedalen, Jämtlands län, Sweden

The house is just between all the ski slopes, with Hamra 6 km one way, and Funäsdalen 12 km on the other way. The ski stadium for cross country skiing is 1,5 km away, but you can go straight from the house down to the tracks in the valley or up on the mountain side.

There is a facility for renting skiis just 200 m from the house. They have everything you need for outdoor activities.

On the parking lot just above there is a large snowmobile (It’s called Snövässlan) taking people up on the mountains, to Andersborg, a small cafe/restaurant just by a mountain lake.

The area is quiet, friendly and with a beautiful view. In the summer the area offers masses of beautiful hikes. Both trails and unbeaten path.
