About a mile to the University of Oregon, this is near the heart of downtown. Located in a quiet alley way, the downstairs unit of a terracotta 4-plex behin a yellow vintage house with orange, yellow & green stripes on the door. A motion detector light turns on at night.
Very close to the bus stop, freeway entrance, restaurants, bars, shopping, and a mile to the UO, one can walk around and enjoy Eugene on foot.

One parking slot allotted for this unit directly in front of the door.

The space
Just 1.2 miles from the University of Oregon and very close to all downtown restaurants. It’s a 20 minute walk or a 6 minute car ride to the UO, and close to the Lane Events Center. Very convenient location to stay at for all events wherein parking may be a problem. It’s also a couple of blocks to the bus station.

Different, artsy, colored and eclectically decorated and space that is fun, rejuvenating and stimulating as well as, calm you when you sleep. The inspiration decor for this is a large elephant painting that was torn and given to Marvy, who repaired it. That gave her the idea to incorporate all her other past wildlife photos taken during her residency in Sri Lanka, as well as, other animal objects she has at home. Note the dominant animal theme of the apartment, hopefully, meant to make you smile.

All photos are originals, mostly submitted for competitions at the Photographic Society of Sri Lanka in 2003-04. Some of the furniture are repurposed from the community, individual and organizations, except for the brand new bed with an organic memory foam mattress and the sofa sleeper, which is firmer than most regular beds.

This is the downstairs unit of a 4plex. There are tenants upstairs and next door but are very respectful and quiet. We can provide earplugs if you are a light sleeper or if you don’t have your own.

Where you’ll be

Eugene, Oregon, United States

The bus stop is a block away, and the bus station about 10 minutes walk. It's exactly 1 mile to the gates of the University of Oregon. There are many fun and delicious restaurants nearby, close to shopping, the freeway entrance, urgent care, business centers, and many more. It's a fun neighborhood and oftentimes, you can hear the ducks that live across the unit quacking.
We own the complex as well as the 108 year old yellow house beside this unit and therefore know all our tenants.
A Guest Manual is provided as well as fliers for wineries and activities you can do during your stay.

I'm a mother of 6, grandmother of 7, artist, writer, competitive barebow and horseback archer, photographer, and foodie. Now that our youngest is done with college, and hopefully covid under control, my husband and I will resume traveling a lot more to visit the grandkids. We speak several languages amongst us and enjoy visiting family and friends all over the world.
My co-host, Christine Turk, will be taking over the management of our airbnbs and will be available to help you out like I would if I were around.

It is our hope that your visit to Eugene will be a memorable and happy one!
