Rent a nice apartment in Monterosso al Mare, Cinque Terre, province of La Spezia. The owners and managers are a retired couple. The owner speaks French, Spanish and a little English, but it is passionate, like her husband, traveling and easy to understand the needs of the guests: when the language is not a problem, she loves chatting with other guests. Then there is I who give them a hand getting emails and giving the latest news to tourist. I live in La Spezia North East hills, and I manage a Guesthouse in the family summer villa (Villa Ducci). Even my father is in Monterosso he has much experience of paths, having spent his youth there. The apartment "Il Gabbiano" is organized for me and my brother and their families, it is funny, cheerful, simple, and there are many windows, it is very windy as it covers three sides of the building. My mother prefers renting quite couple, but really is organized for four people: let's say for three people: couple plus child, or 3 friends, is a suitable position.
Heating is not included.
Till middle October usually not problem.
You can have 2 electric radiator and a heater fan: cost electricity is 0,35 euro per Kilowat.

I don't live in Monterosso, but 2 hour far North East, so I cannot wait guests after 8.30 pm .
Our host was there to meet us and show us the ins and outs of the apartment and show us good places to eat and hike. The neighbourhood was very quiet for the most part during the night so we had a good nights sleep.
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The appartment was excellent situated, clean and comfortable- 2 rooms and a kitchen. There was breakfast for the first morning, there were sunbeds and umbrella, maps over the area and we had wi-fi two of four days. Giacomo gave us very good information about Cinque Terre, Monterosso , different walks and the best way to see much in few days. We will gladly come back.
Giacomo gave us great tips on what to do in Monterosso and Cinque Terre, including hikes, restaurants, and bars. The apartment was a great space, although I have to say we spent most of our time out exploring! The place is so close to the beach and train station. Overall we had a great experience and highly recommend!
Fantastic stay, most has been described in previous posts.
Giacomo met us from the train and we made the short walk to the apartment, on the way he gave great insight into where to eat etc and what to do. Once at the apartment we were really impressed with the space. Giacomo gave us some additional information regarding the area, the tracks and what activities we could do for free. The only draw back with the apartment is the noise, it is located by a restaurant and being in a block of apartments you get the noise of other residents going to work early etc.
For anyone that stays definately try a pizza from L'arrembaggio.
My sister and I had a wonderful week at Seagull apartment. The picture and description provide a good accurate representation of the apartment. We found it much nicer to stay at the apartment rather than in a hotel as there was so much room for the 2 of us to relax. We also enjoyed being able to prepare some of our own meals, though we really enjoyed some restaurants, including Tortuga and Cantina de Miki, which Giacomo recommended.
The kitchen was well equipped. We found everything we needed and as we had just arrived from Australia, we were very grateful for the selection of kitchen and bathroom supplies, just to "get us started ".
We were pleased that Giacomo met us at the station (on a very busy holiday weekend). He then gave us useful information about the town and surrounding area before taking us to the apartment.
The Wifi internet mobile router worked well and was very useful. We knew we could contact Giacomo if we needed help, but this was unnecessary as everything was well set up and Giacomo had provided a good orientation to the apartment and to the town and surrounds.
We felt the apartment matched the description, was well located and was good value for money
I stayed at Giacomo's place for five nights.
The apartment was perfectly clean, we were provided with all the essentials and more. Giacomo and his family were very polite and helpful.
We were greeted on the street and given a quick tour of the main parts of town. All the recommendations we got were spot on.
The kitchen was great to have because we enjoyed cooking our own breakfast every other day. There is a small grocery store just down the street.
The location is fantastic because you are only a 2 minute walk from the main strip in Monterosso.
We arrived by car and were able to park in the large car park just by the beach. It cost us 15 Euros per day, but was well worth it in the end - no worries about the security.

we are a cosmopolitan couple Ecuador-Italian, we like quite and slowly travel ( not safary or climbing Everest) in friendly country (where they speak our languages: Italian, Spanish, French, English and some Portuguese). In 1999 I open my Guesthouse in my family XVI century villa on the hills between Tuscany and Cinque Terre.
We own also two apartments in Monterosso al Mare (Cinque Terre), but we rent only one.
My guests usually like a lot stay in my accommodation as you can read in my Villa DUCCI ' s guestbook or on TripAdvisor. I am a very polite guest as I have a large experience what can make upset a host.
My 5 favourite thinks are: 1) snorkelling - swimming - hiking in Cinque Terre; 2) take care of Oliva trees; 3) discuss with my guests about italian and foreign countries; 4) eat ice-cream (mainly homemade ); 5) slow, quite, lazy travelling.
One of my mottos: si vales bene est ego valeo : If you're fine, that's well, I am fine too.
