The Socrates' stone house is located at the bottom of Triantaros, a village 7km away from the town and the port of Tinos, with the first reference to the 16th century, but with indications that it has existed since the Middle Ages (around 1000 AD).
The unique view of Tinos and the surrounding islands, as well as the respect to the traditional architectural elements, are the two main characteristics of the village.
Vrysi (in the upper village) and Xinari (in the lower village) are the two traditional wells of Triantaros.The springs with poplars are also a point of reference, while in the square of Xinari part of the old traditional olive press is preserved.
