Relaxing getaway in Lost River, WV. Originally a barn, the BunkHouse Barn was redesigned into a rustic modern retreat with custom finishes on 5 acres in the mountains.

Featuring 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, huge deck with hot tub & gas grill, fully equipped kitchen and fireplace. Outdoor fire pit perfect for star gazing and s'mores.

The space
If you're looking to escape to the mountains but enjoy creature comforts and rustic modern design, the BunkHouse Barn is for you! The home is a restored barn with touches from the original building throughout. Experience true WV glamping with a fire pit, jacuzzi and wrap around deck in the woods. Plus we've got ultra-fast, fiber optic internet and A/C if modern amenities are your thing! The house easily sleeps 6 guests but can accommodate more people. We do however ask that you respect the $20/additional person fee if you have more than 6 people.

Guest access
Guests have complete access to the home. Our property sits on a private mountain lane with no through traffic. There are approximately 2-3 miles worth of quiet wooded walking on the lane directly from the house.

WINTER RENTERS: You must have 4 wheel or all wheel drive in the event of snow.

Cell service isn't great on the mountain, as you might imagine. However, there is some AT&T service up across the street by our cabin. Otherwise, there is a guest phone in the Bunkhouse that you can use all you want. The internet is very fast and the Wi-Fi coverage is extended all around our properties on the mountain.

Also, the tap water is filtered and treated (and tastes pretty good!), so bringing bottled drinking water is strictly optional.

We can sometimes flex check-in and check-out times depending upon rental and housekeeper scheduling. Please reach out to us with any questions.

Hi, my wife, Brittany, and I have been Lost River weekenders for the last few years. In 2017 we decided to turn our old barn across the street into the Lost River Bunkhouse Barn, a getaway for family, friends and guests. In 2020, after nearly two years of DIY weekends, we also added the Lost River Tiny House to our AirBnB offerings. We know you'll love it here as much as we do!
