Welcome to my Urban Hideout! It is a large fully furnished studio just a stroll away from the city.
Located within a security building on the doorstep of the CBD in funky Darlinghurst you could not wish for a better location to make your base for exploring Sydney.
The apartment is clean and modern with everything you will need for your stay including complimentary WIFI, large flat screen TV, washing machine and tumble dryer, towels, bed linen, cooking facilities, pans and utensils. It is within metres of great restaurants and cafes, boutiques and several supermarkets.
You will have access to everything in the apartment.
Interaction with Guests
I will be there to welcome you in and answer any questions you might have, then I will be a phone call away! Guests will check themselves out and leaves keys on the table.
Darlinghurst is a trendy suburb with no shortage of great eating and drinking venues and also a short walk to the city as well as other hip suburbs such as Surry
Hills and Potts Point so the location could not be better.
Hyde Park is just across the road and makes for a great spot for a picnic on a summer's day or you can take a bus to Bondi from outside the apartment and be on the beach in just 30 minutes.
Sydney CBD is just a 5 minute walk away and you can also walk to the Botanical Gardens and be gazing at the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge within 20 minutes.
Almost everything is withing walking distance but if you don't feel like walking, many buses stop close to the apartment going to just about anywhere you could care to go in Sydney. You are also only a 5 minute walk to Museum Train Station or a 10 minute walk from Central Train Station.
Other Things to Note
To get to our apartment from the Airport the 2 easiest options are:
Train - AU$16.40 per person. It comes every 5 to 10 minutes and it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to Museum, then you have to walk for about 5 minutes to the apartment.
Taxi - the easiest and most cost effective option if there are more than 1 of you. It cost between $25-$40 and it takes about 20 minutes (allow a little more time to get into and from the International Airport).
Also, please note that there is no parking available with the apartment. There is time restricted or metered parking around the apartment but this can be costly. That said, there are several "GoGet" car-share "pods" right outside the apartment should you need a car during your time in Sydney. You should register before you leave home (foreign licences are accepted) to ensure that your information pack and activation card arrive on time.
The house rules are what one would expect when staying at another person's residence. Please no smoking (not even in the balcony area) or pets. And no parties of any description
We had a great stay at Ryan's place in Sydney. He was easy to contact and deal with throughout the while process and accommodating of our early check-in.
This was an ideal location for us as it was an easy walk to lots of areas we spent time in, and also had lots of public transport options nearby. The apartment is clean, comfy and central – everything you need!
Location is exceptional and makes getting around so easy. The flat is spacious and well set up. Ryan was great – met us at our convenience (we arrived on an early flight) and his communication was excellent. Wifi good. Laundry good too. Would stay again.
Ryan made our checking in and out very easy and he was very responsive and helpful throughout the whole reservation process and our stay.
This is a perfect apartment in a perfect location for exploring Sydney - there are tons of restaurants, coffee shops and sights on your door steps, yet the apartment itself is a quiet, welcoming and relaxing.
Fully recommend this place!
Ryan was a great host! The apartment was in a central and convenient location, and Ryan provided lots of great recommendations for cafes and restaurants within walking distance from the flat. The photos matched the description perfectly, and the apartment was equipped with everything I needed during my stay. The apartment was a bit loud during the weekend evenings, which made it tough to keep the balcony doors open during the hot summer nights.
I found the urban hide out to be the perfect place to stay, it was exactly as discribed and the location was brilliant! I would personally stay her again when coming to Sydney and recommend it to friends. Having a bottle and tim tams waiting for us to enjoy was welcoming gesture.
Very central apartment, modern and clean. We ended to leaving early because we were there on a hot summer weekend and didn't check to make sure there was a/c. Otherwise perfectly pleasant and convenient. There was even a bottle of wine for us and some snacks.
Hi! I'm Ryan. I moved to Sydney 7 years ago and absolutely love it here. Some of my favourite things to do include checking out the latest festivals and plays around town, going hiking in the bush, eating at my favourite cafes and chilling at the park with friends.
We (me and the wife) have travelled extensively and love discovering new places and meeting lots of new people. We're fairly relaxed people, but always like clean linens, good showers and a comfy bed when we travel so we hope we can offer the same to you!
