Other things to note
For a seamless arrival, please review driving directions and check-in instructions in advance and distribute to fellow travelers arriving separately.

• The ranch is privately located 1.25 miles down an unpaved road and a scenic 20 min drive to town.

PLEASE NOTE: there are 2 Airbnb homes on the ranch:
• Ranch House
• Bunk House

• Please be aware of your reserved accommodation and park in the designated area to avoid causing disturbance to other guests.

• The main house with the covered porch is our residence, while a tenant lives in the white house.

• The first mile of driveway is designated as an easement, and we respectfully request that you drive at a slow pace, be considerate, and pull over to the side when safe to enable our neighbor's feed and work trucks to pass through.

• We spend our time outside working on the ranch when we are home, so please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything you need during your stay or if any issues arise as we want your stay to be exceptional.

• There is mobile reception, excluding T-Mobile, & WiFi is available.

• As the nearest grocery store and fuel station are situated 20-25 minutes away by car, we suggest planning ahead for meals during your stay at the ranch or discovering the many wonderful local restaurants.

• Water conservation is imperative and we are grateful for your mindfulness as our water is derived from a natural spring.

• If special lodging arrangements are required, we will make every effort to accommodate your needs in a timely manner.

• With country living comes the critters, so please be mindful of closing doors and windows. Let’s keep these things outside where they belong so the next guests can enjoy the same.

• Slippers are suggested for the colder months as the hardwood floors are not heated and earplugs may be useful for those sensitive to the sounds of nature.

• As birds use window screens for nesting material, some windows do not have them, and while this can be unfortunate for some, we appreciate the birds for controlling the bug population.

• Winter stays - A wood-burning fireplace is the exclusive heat source for the house. Do not worry, as firewood, kindling, paper, and lighters are provided, and additional supplies are available if needed. Within an hour or less of lighting the fire, the house will warm up, and we assure you that it will become cozy, regardless of the initial cold temperature. Also, an oil heater is located in the downstairs bedroom to ensure a cozy ambiance.

• Summer stays - Please note that the upstairs area can become quite warm, and the coolest room is located downstairs. As the home dates back to the 1800s, the loft does not feature open windows, but a fan is provided for added comfort.

• There are instances where the power may be interrupted due to storms or excessive heat waves, but please be assured that the water and cooking stove are propane-powered and we have an ample supply of lanterns and candles for illumination. We also have a portable generator and would be happy to set it up for you if power is required for other purposes.

We welcome guests from near and far to enjoy a unique and relaxing farm stay experience and make memories with the many things West Marin has to offer. Wonderful local restaurants, beaches, hiking trails and excursions all within a 15-30 minute drive!
