Keep the water fountain full at all times . Feel free to spray the plants if you feel they needed. Open the street main door windows and the apartment door windows also for cross ventilation .Please take extra care of the dinning set , it is a real family antique. Keep the A/Cs off when not in use , electricity is very expensive in Puerto Rico ! Leave all the dishes clean and take the trash out before leaving, there are green city trash cans at the corner. Please do not smoke indoors , be considered with the future non smoking guests .
It is extremely important to make sure you turn off the ACs before checking out ! Also please keep your voice down if you hang out late at night in the patio , there are other neighbors leaving in the building and the noise from the patio can be heard in their homes
Electricity is very , very expensive in PR
The villa was terrific! A friend and I stayed there for a few days and the villa is an oasis in Old San Juan. All the rooms were neat and clean, and we had plenty of towels to use -- even to go to the beach. The location is very convenient to everything (and within walking distance) and only one block away from the ocean views. Margarita and Carlos were very welcoming, and provided us with a great guide to the city. Margarita was also easily accessible over text message/phone, and gave us directions whenever we requested! While we didn't really stay at the villa all day (since we were visiting other parts of the island), it was great to start the morning with coffee on the terrace and be able to walk to dinner at night!
Our four night stay in this San Juan home was great. The location is very good. Right in Old San Juan, but away from all the noisy tourists. The place was very clean and the outdoor area really made it a nice place to be. We even had a car one night and finding a parking spot nearby was not a problem. The AC in the bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable. I would stay here again.
The host Carlos kept in communication with me via text and AirBNB. He had his manager let me in and show me the property. The description is very accurate and is located in Old San Juan just like we wanted.
Myself and 3 freinds stayed in Carlos's place, and we all have only good things to say about the place. Our flight was delayed but we were still warmly welcomed by Marguaritta on arrival. The apartment itself is tastefully furnished and the fridge was even stocked with some snacks and a welcome beer. The location is just perfect. Close to the heart of the action in old San Juan but far enough that youre not bothered by noise. I would absolutely recommend you stay here. Thanks again Carlos and Marguaritta.
The trip to San Juan was not so great due to the taxi driver getting lost for 3 hours. But once we arrived Margarita helped us get situated with alot of information that was helpful and the apartment was exactly what we imagined. The place was cleaned and quiet. The neighborhood was awesome with locals (email hidden) up the street or just hanging in the alley listening to music. Everything was in walking distance whereas you dont need a map in my opinion. I really enjoyed my time in San Juan and would recommend it to anyone. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!
We called Margarita upon arrival at the airport. she was waiting for us at the apartment. She was so nice and helpful, she let us know to call her with any questions, she always responded very quickly.
The villa was just as described and the photos are very accurate. We loved the patio, and spent a lot of time there. Our bedrooms were nice and cool at night, we had 2 people in each room.
We were less than a block from the ocean, the scenery all around us was just beautiful!! There was some coffee and sugar, even creamer available at the villa that was so good! We bought some at Walgreens to take home with us. We were able to walk everywhere, you should bring good walking shoes. We road the free trolleys and used the public buses also. We felt safe at the villa, it was very secure.
Thank you Carlos and Margarita for your hospitality.
We spent the second week of July 2015 at this apartment. It is more lovely than it looks in the pictures. Extremely clean and neat.
We got there at around 1:00 AM from the airport and Margarita was still able to welcome us with a big smile and took us on a property tour, provided a lot of extra helpful information that is organized in a binder they have for reference.
We are happy we chose this apartment in Old San Juan, we had everything we needed. As a courtesy they provided some milk, orange juice for the following morning and coffe to start out our day the right way.
We loved our private patio.
There are many good restaurants ( Aji Dulce, El Jibarito were our favorites for Puerto Rican cuisine), supermarket, souvenir shops, all within walking distance.
I highly recomend this place in Old San Juan.
We had an awesome, awsome week in Old San Juan.
Thanks Margarita and Carlos.
