The space
This beautiful self-catering studio for two, is situated just metres from the water's edge with stunning views to the mountains and islands of Pabay and Scalpay. Bijou but perfectly formed, the cabin is light and airy and has been lovingly designed to be calm and comfortable and make the most of the spectacular views.

In spite of its compact size (27m sq) , the cabin has a fully equipped kitchenette with two burner hob and microwave combo fan oven. There is a TV and DVD player, radio with bluetooth so you can play your own music, WiFi, a lovely double bed and an ensuite shower room. We supply all bed linen and towels and luxurious Arran Aromatic toiletries so you just need to bring yourself!

French doors open out onto a private decking area, perfect for a evening sundowner, or you can choose to set out your table and chairs on the secluded patio area. You can while away the hours watching the birdlife (greylag geese, herons, ringed plovers, oyster catchers, curlews, shelducks, widgeon, sandpipers). Although parking is shared with the main house, our guests comment on the feeling of seclusion and privacy around the cabin itself.
Come rain or shine, it's a lovely place to be - we hope you will think so too.

The Cabin is perfectly located for visiting the Isle of Skye and the mainland villages of Dornie and Plockton. It is within walking distance of all amenities with the restaurants and shops of Broadford nearby, including a well stocked supermarket, and is easy to reach by car from the Skye bridge or from the ferry at Armadale. It makes a great holiday base for solo travellers or couples allowing you to explore the whole of Skye and Lochalsh.

The family friendly Hebridean Inn is around 2 minutes walk away and the shops and cafes of Broadford are within 1 mile. Plockton, Sleat, Elgol and Cuillin and Kintail hills are all within easy reach.

Guest access
The parking area is shared with Waterside Cottage. There is an allocated parking space for the Cabin.

Other things to note
The Cabin is in the grounds of Waterside Cottage and parking is shared. In spite of the proximity our guests comment that once in their own private cabin grounds they feel completely secluded.

Hi - After many years based in Glasgow and heading out to explore Scotland at the weekend, David and I and our soppy pointer Ben finally made the break and moved to Skye in 2011. David's from Oban and has spent many years climbing ..now that has been overtaken more by cycling, mountain biking, hill walking and exploring - usually interruputed by our sampling of local coffee shops and cafes! We both love travelling and our last big adventure was cycling the Carretera Austral in Chile . Meeting new people from different places is another one of the joys of life and we are lucky to have met some great people from around the world - not a few of whom we have captured and taken to the pub to introduce them to whisky and the local music..well it has to be done!
