Our guest home has the following amenities:

Kitchenette with Nespresso Vertuoline machine (with pods provided), Breville counter oven, induction burner. electric tea kettle, microwave, reverse osmosis filtered water, dishes & silverware, and a medium-size under-counter Subzero fridge. Please note that there is no conventional oven/stove nor freezer.

Large bathroom with spacious rain shower.

Strong 5g WiFi network

Flatscreen TV with access to apps and live TV on LG's Channel Plus. DVD player provided. Can connect to TV speakers from your phone or laptop, please note the ceiling speakers are not connected due to strict noise regulations in Malibu for short-term rentals.

Private, shaded patio area behind building. Please do not go into main house yard/adjoining area as it is private for those who rent the main house. Only the seating area behind the guest house is accessible when renting this unit.


Driveway/Tesla charger are reserved for the main house. For this unit you can park along the fence at the top of our property and there is a separate gated entrance. Please take note of the info in the check-in instructions on where to park and enter.

Washer/dryer access may be provided for long-term stays (only weekly or longer stays), please indicate when booking if you're requesting this amenity.

FAQs:

Q: Is the beach walkable?
A: Unfortunately not, in order to get this incredible, panoramic ocean view we are on a street that has a steep incline and walking to the beach isn't really an option (some guests who are active/hikers have but personally I would NOT consider it walkable). We're a 2-3 minute drive away from Duke's Malibu, and from there many beaches can be reached within minutes.

Q: Can I film/take pictures here?
A: We do not book shoots through Airbnb. You need to go through on of our location agencies--We are represented by Malibu Locations, Image Locations, and Cast Locations.

Q: Do you really mean it when you say no parties/gatherings/extra visitors who aren't spending the night??
A: YES! We will cancel your reservation without a refund if you try to bring extra people on to the property. We live in a quiet family neighborhood and have a zero tolerance for parties/gatherings/events/"it's not a party I just invited some extra friends over"/unauthorized photo shoots/commercial activity

Guest access
Guests have access to easy street parking right in front of the property entrance, a private entrance, and a beautiful outdoor seating area shaded by a giant palm tree. There is a lockbox for your convenience for self check-in.

There are two buildings on the property: the main house and driveway/Tesla charger are NOT included in this listing--we ask that guests respect the privacy of each others' reserved space.

When you first arrive, we will buzz you in the private gate and after arriving you will have a gate opener to get access whenever it's convenient. When leaving we will need to buzz you out as well.

Other things to note
SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. Please do not book this property if you smoke.

Due to our location in the mountains, cell phone service can be spotty around our property. Please keep this in mind and print out driving directions and check-in information for your reference prior to your arrival. 5g wifi is available here once you check-in.

Upon check-in we will buzz you in the private road and you will receive a gate clicker that will allow you to access the private road that is a quick and easy way to get to/from Pacific Coast Highway. We have 1 gate opener that you can borrow, but use of the gate opener remote is subject to the gate road association's regulations which may change in the future (which would require simply entering a code to get buzzed in and out of the gate each time).

Please note no trucks, vans (including minivans), Sprinter/high top vans, camper vans, or oversize SUVs can use the private, gated road. You will need to take the longer, back route which is rather windy and takes about 10-15 minutes versus using the private gate. Only standard cars and small or mid-size SUVs can use the private gated road.

Guests have access to 5g WiFi throughout the guest house and outdoor areas.

No additional guests on the property at any time that are not on the reservation.

The gardener comes for weekly service on Monday mornings.

This house is surrounded by some amazing nature, and so you can expect to see some bugs and wildlife at times. In the summer they are especially active--we are always clearing off spider webs and cleaning inside and outside but please understand you probably will run into some bugs & critters during your stay.

Please note there is no luggage storage before check-in or after check-out. If you'd like early check-in, make sure to request it in advance. In most cases we cannot offer it, but we will be happy to let you know in case it is possible (though we may not be able to let you know either way until the morning of check-in in many cases). It is EXTREMELY rare that we can offer late checkout, but if you request it in advance as well we will let you know if it's possible. Requests the morning of for late checkout are not possible due to the need to schedule our cleaners in advance. Guests are responsible to check for personal items before check-out. Lost items can be arranged to be picked up in Santa Monica or Culver City; we do not mail forgotten items.
