Casa Xochitl II - is the ideal place for travelers, not resort-tourists, interested in experiencing Baja culture, exploring the desert and solitary beaches. Our B&B is atrium style, built around a laurel tree graced by brick arches and bougainvilleas. The atmosphere embraces Southern Baja's agreeable sub-tropical climate. We're located down a sandy road on the edge of a laid back village, a few minutes from solitary beaches and a quick drive al malecón.

The space
Casa Xochitl II (aka The Dome) has a beautiful brick domed ceiling, air conditioning , and an attached full bathroom with an outside feel to it. The king bed has ultra soft linens and pillows for a restful night sleep. Our casa is private and secure that is surrounded in 10' walls, in an authentic Mexican neighborhood.

If your group needs a space of up to 8 and would like to reserve for just your party, let us know!

There are two dining areas, a courtyard, pond, cocktail pool, hammocks, a small lending library, and a multi-level roof top deck for your enjoyment... reading, visiting, and siestas.
We also offer yoga mats, beach towels, beach umbrella/chairs, ice chest, and snorkel gear for your use while staying with us.

We serve a full breakfast Monday through Saturday at 8:30am before you start your Mexican adventures!

Enjoy the two different dining areas, the courtyard, lending library, multi-level roof, hammocks, and your room for siestas, reading, visiting or just relaxing with a beer or margarita for happy hour!

Our personal/service kitchen is off limits to guests due to its many nuances and lack of space. The guest kitchenette is fairly well-stocked and available to all. Please clean up after yourself and return items to their place. We appreciate guests respecting this rule and our space.

We also offer beach towels, beach umbrella, chairs, ice chest, snorkel gear and yoga mats for your use while staying with us.

During your stay
We interact as much or as little as our guests prefer.

Other things to note
Rental car is highly recommended, we live about 3 blocks down a sandy road off 'Mexico 1'. We have plenty of birds, geckos, a few iguanas to enjoy here in the desert oasis along with our 2 dogs and cat-dog, Taco.

Please note that our personal/service kitchen is not for your use, but there’s a community kitchenette in the back of the property for guests, along with a large table and small shared fridge, all under a palapa roof. We very much appreciate this rule being respected while staying with us.

Neighborhood highlights

El Centenario is an authentic Mexican neighborhood that we love. It is a small community that is not 'gringoville' nor the least bit touristy. We are a few minutes drive to beaches, to La Paz and the Malecon. Within a mile there are some incredible restaurants, little eateries and mini markets.

We are 1 mile to the nearest beach, 30 minutes to Baja's 'top rated beaches', 7 miles to El Malecón and so much more in just short driving distance!

Dan relocated to Mexico where he purchased thee coolest casa! He loves sharing it with travelers. It’s so great having fun with my animals exploring all the beaches, eateries and other points of interest. Never dreamed snorkeling, fishing and kayaking here in these beautiful waters could be a near daily experience! Dan’s into fossil hunting and fishing. I am quiet, friendly, open-minded respectful people
