Second floor. quiet 3 room apartment (living and dining area, as well as 2 bedrooms) in central Shimoda with connecting balcony overlooking the river and park. Located near most major tourist attractions and only 1 km from one of Shimoda`s 5 stunning beaches.
Limited number of bikes are available for free.

The space
The airbnb includes AC, TV with google cast, 2 lounge chairs, a small, open kitchen and dining area with basic cookware, rice cooker, kettle, microwave, coffee machine, etc. Unit shower/bath and toilet, as well as a second toilet down the hall. Two bedrooms (bedroom 1; semi double bed, single bed and futon) (bedroom 2; 2 single beds and futon) with basic toiletries, bed linen and towels provided.
There is also a large balcony with space for socializing and relaxing with a view of the park and the river lined with beautiful cherry blossom trees.
There is free parking for one vehicle. However, if more is needed, please contact us and we will try to accommodate you. The parking space is 70 meters from the accommodation. We will send you the location closer to your arrival. Please let us know in advance if you need a parking space.
Guests are encouraged to use the bikes free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.
There are also boogie boards and other beach equipment for use also on a first come, first serve basis.
The closest beach, Nabeta Beach, 1km from the airbnb, is famous for swimming and snorkeling, as well as, sup and kayak tours. And close to 5 stunning white sand beaches popular for swimming and surfing.
There is an outdoor shower to take the sand off before entering the airbnb.
Friendly owners who speak Japanese and English fluently, that live nearby and available for local information.
If interested, we can help organize sushi boats from the local fish shop. The cost will depend on your budget, but boats usually start at 5000 yen. Please contact us 2 days prior to your arrival.

Other things to note
The airbnb is in a quiet, residential area so please keep the noise down after 9 pm. Also, the noise can be heard in the airbnb downstairs so please be mindful of your neighbors.

The airbnb is a 5 minute walk to the Izukyu Shimoda Station. The easiest way to get to Shimoda is to take the Ororiko Express Train from Tokyo Station, Shinjuku Station or Ikebukuro Station. It takes approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Izukyu Shimoda Train Station is also the bus station. From here you can explore other areas in Izu such as Irozaki, Dogashima, Shirahama, Sand ski and Ryugu sea cave.
