About this listing
Welcome to my house! This cute Mexican style house has been renovated, has a roof top terrace with a beautiful view of the mountain Buffa. It is situated near mummy's museum,15 min walk from the historical town, 10min taking a bus.
This Mexican country style house was built about 35 years ago and it has been renovated 3 years ago. It has vaulted ceiling with brick, is decorated with beautiful traditional Mexican tiles called Talavera.
At the moment I offer a special price. Normal price is 28 dollars per night, but I charge only 23 dollars. The reason why I make discount is I have started to build the second floor of my house(from May to Sep). Now the rooftop terrace is under construction, so you can not enjoy the view. There is some noise during the day. But there is no mess inside of the house. Also I try to keep the house clean.
So, if you don’t mind, you are always welcome to my house.
The house has Kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms. I rent two bedrooms. Up to two people can stay every room. If you are a family, you can contact me, I can rent you another room. There is a roof top terrace where you can enjoy having beers looking at the view of Mt. Bufa.

Interaction with Guests
Now I dedicate to jewelry making and I have a small jewelry shop in the town. I work in my atelier upstairs during the week and in my shop for weekends. I hope you enjoy staying in my house. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me. I have been living here for more than two years, I know most of the tourist sites in Guanajuato, also I have some information of most of the Latin American countries by my experience.
Located just 1 minute by foot to the famous Mummy museum, 15-20 minutes by foot to the Mercado de Hidalgo(Hidalgo Market). It is nestled in a typical Mexican familial area next to the central of the city.
It is safety place around here. There are a few small shops where you can buy vegetables, fruits, drink, breads, snack and meat only a few steps. There is no parking space in my house. You may park your car in front of the house where normally my neighbors use as a parking space. But I can not be responsible in case of some troubles.
One of the most important feature of Casa Fumi is conveniently located on a street level (just a 12 steps to enter the house). A lot of vacation rentals in Guanajuato require a steep and exhausting climb with no vehicle access even their houses are located in the center of the town. Because Guanajuato is a very hilly city. The house is not in the center of the town, but you can easily take a bus as there is a bus stop in front of the house, or you can take a taxi. Both taxis and buses are inexpensive.
Things which may annoy you are some noise from buses during the day, howling dogs, cackling hens in the morning. If you need to have an absolutely quiet environment, my house is not your destination. May be not only my house but also whole Guanajuato town is a quite noisy place.
15-20 min walk from the center. 10 min taking a bus, there is a bus stop in front of the house.
From the Guanajuato bus terminal, you can take a taxi(15 min). Taxi fee is 45-50 pesos, You can say " Up to mummy's museum" .
Other Things to Note
I am normally at my shop in the downtown in the afternoon. I come home your time of the check-in, so please let me know arrival time one day before your arrival.
At the time of check in, I ask you 200 pesos for key deposit, I will pay it back, when you leave.
Taking off your shoes at the entrance of the house. This is Japanese custom, but I am keep doing it for cleanness of the house. Sandals are provided for you to wear.
Me senti como en caso Fimmi es exclelete amiga se tomo el tiempo para antenderme hasta en el ultimo detalle
Excelente trato de la señora Fumi, es atenta, super amable, servicial y su casa esta hermosa.
Fumi is a great host and we felt very much at home at Fumi's place. She offers a nice breakfast and facilities and the room were perfect. Good value for money.
Fumi was the most incredible and friendly host. She was so helpful in everything to do with our stay - including calling some car rental places for us when we needed a fluent Spanish speaker. The house is truly beautiful and such an amazing view. It's a nice, easy walk into town and we will definitely be staying with Fumi again next time we are in Guanajuato. Thank you so much!!!
Excelente lugar! Me gusto mucho!! Fumi es súper amable y el lugar es cómodo, limpio y en una excelente ubicación
Fumi is a detailed, elegant and heartful Japanese lady. she helps us call a cab and offers us amazing breakfasts, recommended the best restaurants locally. I sincerely wish that she can enjoy her life in Guanajuato and wanna see you againT_T. Her house is very very clean from where I can see the detailed character of Japanese. and it's very beautiful and colorful and tidy, comfortable just like Guanajuato. so you shouldn't miss her house during your stay.
Fumi is a gracious and accommodating host. Her home has a wonderful Mexican style and it is spotless. The bedroom is spacious and well-appointed; the bed is very comfortable. The internet works great. The neighborhood is not glamorous but it is authentically Mexican and, most importantly, safe, as is Guanajuato on the whole. The bus stops practically at her front door. If you are a walker, like me, the downhill walk into town is a breeze. The climb back take a bit of effort but consider it your daily exercise. Otherwise the bus or a taxi gets you easily back to her house. Fumi is multi-lingual which helps immeasurably if your Spanish is marginal. She knows Guanajuato intimately and can give you direction to anywhere you need to go. A very nice place to stay.
Thank you for your suggestion. I will put a mat in the shower as you mentioned it is slippery.
For berakfast I offer with 50 pesos, I think it is not expensive, it is depend on one's taste, in town they offer breakfast with egg dish with beans, bread and coffee for 50 pesos, Also they offer breakfast with fruitsalad, bread and coffee for 50 pesos. I offer three kinds of fruits and yogurt too.
I offered you coffee first two days, I clearly said to you, your coffee was on the table. But you did not have coffee, so I thought you did not like coffee or you like only particular coffee, not the one I offered. I am sorry if you did not understand that I offered coffee for you.
The problem of the faucets, as you said I will put the instruction in the bathroom.
Thanks again for your suggestion, I will make effort for confortability of my guests.

About the Host, Fumi
I am Japanese woman who dedicate to a fabrication of Jewelry. I used to travel a lot as I worked in a agency of international human development. I lived in Morroco, El Salvador, Madagascar and Bolivia. When I first came here to Guanajuato, I really liked this very cute colorful city, and after I left from my work, I decided to live here. I have been living here for just one year. I bought a cute mexican style house which I really wanted to have. Now I enjoy fabricating jewelry in my atelier with the lovely warm weather of this region and beautiful view of the mountain from my roof top terrace. I speak English, Spanish, French and of course Japanese.
