Your pool view room has a keyless entry, from the patio, at the rear of the house. The queen bed is comfortable. Included is a western themed loveseat, a drop leaf, dining table, and two dining chairs. The closet has mirrored doors.

Your cozy bathroom has a jetted tub. There is a step up to get into the tub and a safety grab bar. Plenty of lush towels are provided.

There is a gas range with four burners and an oven, a microwave, a Ninja blender, and an ice maker, plus a mini-fridge.

The space
Our ranch has llamas, donkeys, goats, chickens, guineas, and ducks. If you are lucky, you may see roadrunners in the summer, or an occasional deer. I see possums and raccoons a lot and hear owls at night. We have a dog hotel just down the hill from our home and rentals. You may bring and board your dog at our hotel. select dogs are welcome to stay with guests, in their rental, but you must make this request in advance. The dog boarding facility may have 1-3 customers drive up per day. Two staff members will come and go. The shrubbery around the pool blocks the view of the barn-like dog hotel, which only accommodates 10-15 dogs during peak season (summer). It is normally very quiet and guests have never complained about it. If the dogs bark during their 10 pm last, evening restroom break, it is only for a few minutes and then they get treats and it's lights out and they normally go to sleep in about 5 minutes. In the recent past, when I've told guests about our nearby business, they have said that they were completely unaware of the dogs playing outdoors in their fenced area. I only mention it now, because I don't want to surprise anyone. The loudest animal you will hear on the ranch is a donkey. They do like to bray sometimes.

Your room is at the back of the house, off of a 60 foot long patio. You are welcome to enjoy the patios on wither side of the home and other common outdoor areas. There is a dining table on the patio. If you stay longer than a week, then you will be granted a code to enter the laundry room from the opposite patio.

This guest room is attached to the house and the homeowner is normally on the property, but you enter from your private doorway and cannot enter through teh house unlike a traditional bed and breakfast. We leave supplies for you to create your own breakfast. If you are staying for weeks or months, then you will need to supply your own breakfast and toilet paper, as the monthly rate is discounted.

Located on a ranch 15 minutes away from the center of Ennis. We are 45 minutes to downtown Dallas and about an hour and 10 minutes to DFW airport or an hour to Love Field.

We are on a ranch, not inside the town.

I am a native Texan and grew up in Dallas, Texas. I attended Southern Methodist University and I have a Master's degree in fine art. I love nature, so living on a ranch is perfect for me. There is something new to see each day. I'm hooked on Hawaii and probably travel there too much, but I also love Santa Fe, and Jaun les Pins. Still, there's no place like home AND home has donkeys, llamas, goats, chickens, and ducks and a view that I absolutely LOVE. We look forward to meeting new friends, so c'mon out to the ranch. Oh, I speak Texan, a lil French, and a goodly amount of redneck, in case you're wonderin'.
