This property has been enjoyed for over 30 years in the community! Kahuna's would pray here daily. Many have had inspiration and deep healing here. Completely off grid with state of the art solar and rain catchment. Come and unplug, have a hot solar rainwater shower. Share in our abundance of tropical fruit, avocados and coconuts with you, over 44 varieties of edible trees! Most evenings we are blessed with a star show that goes on forever!

The space
This secluded large comfortable bungalow is filled with so much natural light and an array of tropical plants out of every window. It has a private porch to relax on surrounded by a variety of plants, flowers and tropical fruits. There is a comfortable Queen bed and a bamboo twin bed. This is a place where you can forget about the outside world and have deep peace inside. Although we have a state of the art solar system we still ask that guests be mindful of resources. All of our water is collected from the rain with a 2 filter system and ultra violet filter. It's amazing to be so connected to the sun's energy and showering with rainwater. There are two bathrooms. One is in the sanctuary with an indoor shower. The other is a private flushing toilet with an outdoor private shower. Both are about a 5 second walk. The sanctuary has with a beautiful space for you to practice yoga, meditation, dancing etc. Our 3 acres are abundant with mature Coconut trees, Papayas, Bananas, Cacao, Mamay Sapote, Lilikoi, Avocados, Rombuton, Breadfruit, Jackfruit, Soursop, Mangostein Etc Etc. A Permaculture Organic Paradise! We love to share what's in season with you!

Guest access
We have a beautiful sanctuary space for personal yoga practice etc. It is available for guests when not in use. Periodically we have a Qiqong teacher and acupuncturist traveling though. Throughout the year people in our community offer healing classes as well. The large well equipped outdoor kitchen is available for our guests to use. There is a guest refrigerator. You will have a bin and food safe for your dry goods. We ask that everything be left clean and all food put away and sealed. Also no food in your room please. The 3 acres have sweet meditative spots to rest, read, write, do art and have complete solitude. We have blankets or chairs for you to use to tuck away with.

Other things to note
This is a completely off grid neighborhood. Which is so refreshing to have almost no EMFs. This area is also used as a standard for the freshest air on the planet even with Volcano close by! So if your looking for a cemented place that keeps out all of the elements this may not be your place. It is fully screened and has walls but a gecko or a bug may sneak in. If you want television, large data internet, air conditioning, ( instead of tropical breezes) this may not be be your place. The temperatures are very temperate in this area . 65 to 85 degrees is the norm. We have luxury in the jungle with our state of the art solar system and rain catchment but we still ask that guests be mindful of resources. All of our water is collected from the rain with a 3 filter system and ultra violet filter. It's amazing to be so connected to the sun's energy and using rainwater. You will be close to the elements and experience tropical nature, smells and sounds ( you may want earplugs if your a light sleeper). Much more soothing than city traffic and sirens.
At & T works well on the property. Verizon gets a bar or two w our booster.. We are open to using our hotspot to check messages but no streaming please. We do have Starlink internet and ask for $5/day $20 week

The sanctuary is next door at our original property. There's Yoga and Qigong weekly. Inquire with the available hostesses for the schedule. We periodically have private retreats etc. It's a slight possibility the sanctuary won't be available during your stay. It's also possible we will have a Van to rent. Let us know if that is of interest.

Neighborhood highlights

There are local art and music events happening throughout the week. Ecstatic dances on Sundays and Thursdays are continuing in Hilo. Open Mic every Monday at the Kava Bar, and Uncle Robert's every Wednesday at Kalapana are still lively events . Makuu Farmers Market is loaded with local produce, crafts and more every Sunday. Kehena Beach, Shipman's Beach, Mermaid Tide pools and a new Bland sand beach created by the lava are a few local secret spots open to visit. This is authentic Hawaii, an area where time can stand still. There is little to no traffic, very few homes on the coast, canopied trees over the road opening into crashing waves on the black lava! Breathtaking!! Our sweet town of Pahoa is 7 miles away with incredible restaurants, markets, health food store, bank, post office, library etc. The beautiful town of Hilo is 27 miles away with wonderful history and an incredible waterfront.

Gray and I are so grateful to be stewards of this magical land! We love to do our best to create a wonderful experience for our guests. Looking forward to meeting you and sharing the beauty, peace and calm of this land with you. We love to start our day with a quiet walk in the jungle and our way back gather produce from our neighborhood fruit stands. We enjoy the quiet laid back vibe we have on this side of the island and one of the cleanest airs on the planet! Our favorite part of this property is all the fruit trees and the plush landscape !
