Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Private cabin in a serene, wooded setting, 20 min. to Santa Cruz. Main house has two bedrooms and a loft. There are two detached glam camping gazebos, carpeted and equipped with beds, electric blankets, down comforters. Hot tub, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen, gas barbecue, large deck, views. Indoors has a modern, well-equipped kitchen, great room, gas fireplace, loft, master bedroom, guest bedroom, two bathrooms. Quality furniture, comfortable beds, stylish sectional, large dining table.

The space
This home is my private home and I love this space. It is a serene sanctuary in a very private setting where I can relax and enjoy nature. Due to limited parking the number of people at the house must be limited to 8 overnight guests. Gatherings of no more than 12 people are permitted. This house is not suitable for weddings or parties over 12. It is very important to me to keep the house smoke free and pet dander free so I ask that guests not bring their animals or smoke inside the home or on the grounds. The house is in a forest where there are devastating forest fires every year. The no smoking policy is primarily to protect my home and the neighborhood from fire risk. I love my home and I think you will too.

Guest access
All parts of the house, decks, and grounds are available to guests. The house sleeps 8 people. We prefer to limit the number of people in the house to 8, but we have had times where guests choose to bring more people. If you choose to bring more than 8 people the added cost is $100 per night per person.

No Smoking or vaping inside and out.
No pets. $500/night pet charge.
Parking for two cars.
8 overnight guests max. Gatherings of more than 12 people are not accepted.
Please put the garbage can across the street in front of 25 Madrone when you check out or Sunday night, whichever comes first.

Neighborhood highlights

Mt Hermon is a small community near Felton, just a 10-minute drive to Santa Cruz. Because the home is located in a rural, forest setting it can be a little challenging to find. If you follow the directions exactly you will be able to find the house easily. The speed limit in Mount Hermon is 15 mph and this limit is enforced by several nasty speed bumps throughout the village, so keep your eyes open for those. The terrain is hilly with lots of trees. A creek runs through the valley and can be accessed for wading and water play. Mount Hermon Association offers a world class zip line course through the redwood canopy. Hiking trails throughout. Roaring Camp steam train ride through the redwoods. Henry Cowell Redwood Park offers views and a self-guided tour of ancient redwoods. Safeway grocery store, CVS drug store, and restaurants a mile away.
