Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
There are four rooms at the lodge. Two on the south side, two on the north. Each has it's own entrance from the outside, own bathroom, microwave, and mini fridge. Common areas are living room, dining room, and kitchen. Most use outdoor grills and eat at multiple outdoor locations. Property has a mile of Colorado River front. Surrounded by thousands more acres and no neighbors. Lots of hiking, kayaks, usually a beach, side by sides, fossils, wild life, and two 18 hole disc golf courses.

The space
Base Camp and Last Hurrah are remote. Similar landscape to Canyonlands, without all the people. Lots of big horn and mule deer. Six seater side by side to take you to Wind Caves and Chicken Corner for $250 less than half the $700 they charge in town. Kayaks, singles and doubles, with endless hiking and climbing. Two disc golf courses with fearsome reputations. Fossils, dinosaur tracks, Indian artifacts, petroglyphs, finger canyons, and center to the Jackson Hole trail, Chicken Corner, Lockhart Basin, Hurrah Pass, and close to the Wind Caves and all the bicycle trails on the Amasa Back. View of Dead Horse Point, Canyonlands, Anti-Cline, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. 200 plus pound security tortoise, all kinds of squirrels, chipmunks, at least 54 species of birds, and in the evenings ringtails, skunks, raccoons, and fox come to the lodge porch to eat. The night sky is amazing. It's doubtful you've ever seen so many stars and the Milky Way is a nightly occurrence for much of the year.

Guest access
You have free access to the beach, the river, kayaks, hiking, climbing and $250 for the side by side. You can kayak by the beach, up river and back down, or around the island. On the six seater side by side I'll send you to Wind Caves and Chicken Corner. About two to four hours for most. 100 years of National Geographics.

Other things to note
The road is most often mentioned in reviews which normally ends with "it's worth it". A mostly dirt road which normally doesn't needs four wheel drive but it does need six or so inches of ground clearance. Most SUV's, Jeeps, and trucks have that. Most sedans and vans do not. In most instances swing wide on the corners going up and down Hurrah Pass and if you've driven a dirt road before you should be fine. If heights are an issue for you there will be lots of issues up and down Hurrah Pass.

If you're uncomfortable with your vehicle call Twisted Jeep in Moab and tell them you are coming here. They would rather have their vehicle on the road out here than a real difficult one so they will give you the best deal they can.

There's no stores out here so bring your food and whatever you'd like to drink besides water.

When you make your request tell me you have a suitable vehicle and will bring your food and I'll approve the request otherwise I'll email you to get confirmation.

I have a six seater side by side you can use for $250 to go to the Wind Caves and Chicken Corner about two to four hours.
