ROSE ROOM is a spacious private suite with king bed, bath, sitting area w/ fireplace (gas), bar sink/dining area: coffee maker, mini-fridge, electric water kettle, toaster, microwave, dishes & silverware.

On 1st floor of charming 1895 guesthouse. Original oak floors & high ceilings. Wi-Fi & smart TV; A/C and heat; ceiling fans & many windows let in fresh air & lots of natural light. Front porch with wicker furniture & lake view (porch is common area).

Keypad lock on house entry door and Rose Room door, coded uniquely for each guest. This house "Omena Cottage" has 2 other private suites. There are 7 suites at Sunset Lodge in 2 guesthouses.

Outdoor areas: patio, large lawn w/ outdoor furniture and firepits with pretty lake view. Pickleball court.

We're located in Omena, in the heart of the Leelanau Peninsula. Omena is a small village (population <300), peaceful and quiet. The village is a short walk from Sunset Lodge. There is a popular bar/restaurant and tasting room on the waterfront (Knot Just a Bar & Leelanau Cellars). Also art gallery (Tamarack) and historical museum. Omena has a small public beach with picnic table, grills, swings. Omena and Sunset Lodge listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.

Charming villages of Suttons Bay, Northport and Leland are a short drive. Sleeping Bear Dunes Lake Shore is 20 miles. Nearby attractions include: Leelanau State Park & lighthouse, excellent bike trails (bike rental shops nearby), golf, canoeing/kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. 30+ wineries, cideries & distilleries in the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail.
