This former post office is a well-appointed tiny house (230 SF) in the Driftless Region of SW Wisconsin. You'll appreciate amazing views of our century-old hobby farm from the Guesthouse. Nestled in a secluded valley on 13 acres, this property offers utmost privacy with conveniences like fiber optic Wifi. We're located in a dark sky area and boast incredible stargazing and have witnessed the Northern Lights twice in recent years. Griff Run is 18 mins to Richland Center or 25 mins to Viroqua.

The space
Experience hobby farm living and the privacy of your own guesthouse - at Griff Run. This 13-acre organic hobby farm includes nine historic buildings including a dairy barn turned vintage shop and an 1800s root cellar. Inside the Guesthouse you'll find the perfect blend of old and new; antique furniture and fixtures mixed with modern touches like a 14-inch Saatva luxury mattress, on-demand hot water, vintage cast iron tub and shower, and air conditioning. While we are not farmers ourselves, we love the company of our animal friends - and the menagerie changes regularly: the lovingest farm cats in WI and two livestock guardian Pyradors - Marco and Polo.

Griff Run is located in the heart of Driftless Wisconsin. Point in any direction and find outdoor areas to explore. Excellent trout fishing is just five minutes down the country road at Mill Creek. Our farm, Griff Run, is nestled in a secluded, private valley in the Driftless Region of SW Wisconsin. We can't see or hear our nearest neighbor, and, while we love them, we love that more. Our neighbors are hard-working farmers, English and Amish, as well as blue and white-collar professionals, like ourselves, just looking for sanctuary. World-class trout streams are a five-minute jaunt down a country road. Roam the area on one-lane farm roads surrounding Griff Run. Or, just stay on the farm and get some loving from our four alpacas. You'll likely lose your cell signal as you descend into our valley. We tend to think that's a good thing...

We moved to Griff Run, our 13-acre hobby farm, from Denver, in 2011. The kids, both grown, have a love/hate relationship with the farm (love the animals, hate the chores)! Shawna, a Chicago native, has worked in marketing, crisis management and communications for decades but prefers farm life.
