Getaway to the peaceful countryside at this incredible 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom vacation rental house (12 guests).

Full kitchen and dining room, king size beds, fire pit, Prochnow Vineyard and Venue next door, very rural location, hike our 135 acres to Titanic point, 4 miles to Enchanted Rock, 2 miles to Contigo, ATV friendly, and 20 minutes to Fredericksburg.

The space
The original house was built in 1900, and the additions were completed in early 2017 providing you both a historical context with modern conveniences. It is situated on 145 acres.

Guest access
Guests will spend much of their time around the house (about 1 acre) and will have access to the 135 acres behind the house. They can hike through the valley and follow the pasture road to the mountain top point for beautiful views of the valley. It is opportunity to see deer, cattle, wild turkeys, armadillos, road runners, and even native lizards. A map and instructions are provided upon arrival.

Other Attractions:
Just 4 miles north, you'll find Enchanted Rock State Park, an enormous park made from pink granite rock covering 640 acres. Pack afternoon snacks and head out for a beautiful summertime hike or climb!

Visit the town of Fredericksburg, just 12 miles away, and get to know the local culture through museums and historical sites. Each weekend there is some type of festival (car shows, crafts, and many others). In August, the Gillespie County Fair is held each summer and hosts a variety of events, including horse racing, bull riding, and much more!

Take a chauffeured tour bus on US 290 to 17 award winning vineyards and wineries, before enjoying 44 wine tasting rooms throughout Fredericksburg, which is best known for their wineries and peaches.

The booking price includes a 7% Gillespie County hotel occupancy tax. The quote does include the State of Texas hotel occupancy tax (6%).

By the way, for those with flexible schedules the rates during the week (Sunday night through Thursday night) are the best value. If your group is 8 or less, please select the dates you are interested in and send an inquiry describing your group, the number in the group and the number of bedrooms you plan to use. The nightly rate depends on the number of bedrooms you plan to use. We drop the nightly rate and cleaning around 10% for each bedroom not used. You still have access to the whole house. We will send a special offer based on the information provided. This does not apply to Friday and Saturday nights.
