We are thrilled to offer visitors to Albuquerque the opportunity to stay at an authentic Watson adobe in historic Old Town Albuquerque, New Mexico. The 2bd 1ba house sleeps 5, and is 1-2 blocks from Old Town, several museums, and a vibrant neighborhood full of restaurants, cafes and more. The BioPark is walkable/bikeable, as are the Rio Grande Bosque open space, Downtown and the Rail Yards. The location is truly one of the best in Albuquerque and perfectly suited for exploring the city!

The space
The 2 bd 1 ba house (approx. 1400+ sq ft) has been lovingly maintained, with many original features and fixtures. The neighborhood is recognized as the Watson Historic District on the State Register of Cultural Properties.

Old Town, with all its galleries and restaurants, is just a 2-block walk away. Downtown is only a few blocks in the other direction, including dozens of craft breweries, restaurants, galleries, nightclubs, and many other arts/culture venues. We are closest to the West Downtown neighborhood (a 2-block walk) which is bursting with new restaurants, cafes and shops.

The house is decorated with both vintage and modern art, many by NM artists, and some is for sale. We have also prepared a directory of local cultural attractions, and are happy to talk with you to give guidance on where to go and what to do in our unique city.

Other amenities and features include:

- Gorgeous tile floor
- Open living and dining areas
- Bluetooth Soundbar and clock radio
- Roku TV with Netflix, Pandora and more
- High-speed wireless internet
- Turntable and a rotating selection of vintage records
- Rotating selection of vintage books
- Refurbished vintage stove
- Sun room
- Shady front and back yards

It is a point of pride for many Albuquerqueans that our city celebrates its diversity including the LGBT community, immigrants, and people of color. As avid travelers ourselves we know this is not always true in all cities or towns, and want our guests to know we warmly welcome all guests at our house.

I'm a business author, arts publisher and self-employment coach and have lived in New Mexico for nearly 20 years. My husband and I bought our first house in the neighborhood in 2000 (before we had kids) and loved being within walking or biking distance of clubs and art venues in Old Town/Downtown. After having kids we loved it even more as we can walk to museums, great parks and more. Last year we decided to strengthen our roots in the neighborhood by buying a second home across the street from ours. We are excited to use it as a vacation rental and hope it serves as a portal for visitors to access the many and diverse arts and culture happenings that downtown and Old Town Albuquerque have to offer.
