  • I spent four nights at Thierry's place with my husband and teenage son. It was a great value. One large room, very comfortable bed. Functional kitchen but not so well equipped that you'd really want to do much cooking there. The view from the porch is just as it is in the pictures - amazing forest immersion. We saw toucans, howler monkeys, morpho butterflies, and a hawk flying in to snatch a large insect mid-air. Thierry was very helpful and suggested a great beach to the south to get away from the Easter holiday crowds at Manuel Antonio. Thanks, Thierry!

  • Thierry is a great host - very informative and helpful with every and anything you could need. His place is very nice as well - clean, quiet, secure, excellent location, and excellent for watching the jungle fauna. One morning I awoke to some rustling in the canopy to find a family of white-headed capuchin monkeys passing through. One was curious and approached to within 2 meters; I was literally face-to-face with this amazing creature. Highly recommended host and accomodations!

  • My boyfriend and I absolutely loved staying at Theirry's place! It was exactly what we were looking for. We were off the beaten path, so we felt like locals with our own little apartment in the jungle, but it was only $1-2 for a cab ride into town, and we never waited more than 5 min. for a cab. Don't worry about all the warnings you read about only taking cabs with a triangle on the side door. We took any cab that stopped, marked, un-marked, meter, no meter, it doesn't matter. Theirry contacted me right away after booking his place, and was helpful answering my questions before we even arrived!. Once we got there, he welcomed us with a smile and a quick run down of the basics (since we had never been to CR before). He also stocked our fridge with a pineapple, milk, (good) coffee, real cane sugar. He told us to just come knock on his door anytime we had questions, and we did! Ha! He was always available and happy to help. Take the hiking trail behind the apartment! It's not an easy trail, but it was so very cool to trek through the rain forest. I faced my fears and it felt amazing. One thing I would recommend is just to make sure the windows aren't letting any creepy crawlies in, just check to make sure the screens and sides are shut. Hot water in the shower, towels (just ask if you need more), TP, all included. Anything else you need the local grocery store will have it. Thanks Thierry for making our trip unforgettable! I keep saying everyday, "I wish we were back in CR". Pura Vida!

  • It was nice to be relatively out of the way of the downtown area, anyone that wants to visit Manuel Antonio I would recommend staying at Thierry's. He is a very informative host and it is much cheaper to stay in Quepos and take the bus to Manuel Antonio. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family.

  • I tell everyone about this place! I absolutely loved it! I called it my "Monkey Jungle Apartment" - even though I unfortunately never saw a monkey from the balcony while I was there. I still enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and just listening to the sounds of the jungle. The colorful wall decorations and bedspread were cheerful, and the open design made the place feel larger. There are good screens on the windows and sliding door, so you can sleep with the windows open and the fans on and be very comfortable at night (without having to turn on the air-conditioning). I brought earplugs to muffle the jungle sounds, so I slept like a baby. I was very happy here and the time flew by - I wish I could've stayed for the whole season! Thierry is a very gracious host and knows a lot about the area. I had my own car so the location was just a short drive in to town, but I am told that you can catch a bus in front of the neighborhood. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again! Thank you for everything Thierry!

  • I had a great visit to the Quepos/Manuel Antonio/Dominical areas. Thierry's unit is perfect for solo travelers or a couple. It was nicely appointed and very comfortable. I found Thierry gracious and helpful, I had some trouble finding his place but he rode down and escorted me there. I felt safe and loved the deck in the mornings. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

  • This place was excellent and Thierry was an excellent host. He showed me where the buses ran and how to get around. The view was incredible. The internet worked well and I was able to use it the entire time I was there. I would definitely stay there again.

  • Our stay with Thierry was excellent. I was traveling with two friends and our whole experience staying here was painless, easy, and fun. Thierry was always very accommodating and even gave us some tasty fresh fruit for when we first arrived. I had made a mistake when I was planning accommodation for our trip, so we ended up needing to stay an extra night, but Thierry was very helpful and flexible with us. I would definitely stay here again.

  • This is by far the best place we have stayed on our travels so far. The apartment was beautiful, great shower and a lovely balcony. Not only was there gorgeous walks around the property and Quepos town only 5 mins in taxi but Thierry himself is a lovely guy and made our stay there over christmas all the more fantastic. The lodge has a real charm and all the facilities any traveller will need. We would urge anyone travelling through Quepos to get in touch with Thierry and stay at one of his apartments if available you will not be disappointed! Thanks so much Thierry, we hope to return one day and stay at your place once again. Jules and Rich
