Enjoy the warm glow of the fireplace while sipping on a whisky as clear mountain water rushes by in the creek below. Seemingly float amongst the trees as you relax on the screened in porch filled with sunlight and a calming breeze. Show the kids how to roast the perfect marshmallow or prepare an amazing dinner in the slate stone fire pit. Sit around the dining table, chatting, playing classic games with a record playing in the background. Bathe your senses with the perfect mountain getaway.
The space

Our 1100 sq. ft. cabin provides the perfect mountain getaway for a small family or couples gathering. A 2/2, with a bedroom downstairs and a large loft with privacy curtains upstairs. Both rooms have a full-bath and king size beds with new memory foam mattresses. We accommodate 5 guests, assuming the 5th guest would sleep on the couch.
Our cabin is only 10-minutes from Tallulah Gorge and 7-minutes from historic downtown Clayton, GA where you'll find incredible restaurants, art galleries, antiques, wine tasting rooms and one of the most vast and eclectic Ace Hardwares I've ever seen. For the adventure seeker, there's hiking, rafting, tubing, ziplining, biking and even skiing (some parts of the year) all nearby. There's also two beautiful lakes, Lake Rabun and Lake Burton, very close by.
The cabin sits alongside 5 acres of thick forest and overlooks Tiger Creek. This is a hearty creek and features tiered waterfalls, swimming spots and even a 20ft. waterfall about 200 yards down. We have stairs that lead down to the water, but access to the creek is limited. You can get in, but the stairs don't provide direct access to the water. Enter the water at your own risk and please WATCH CHILDREN CAREFULLY and USE CAUTION in the creek. The screened in porch is the full length of the back of the cabin and has a porch swing, rocking chairs, a picnic table and an old army cot for your best nap ever (seriously).
Inside, the spacious living room opens from a 20ft ceiling, a large stone fireplace, an oversized leather couch and a relaxing chair for lounging.
No matter the season, you'll be comfortable. The main source of heat is the stone gas fireplace. This fireplace will warm up the entire house! The bedroom downstairs also has a separate gas heater, and all the rooms have ceiling fans and a window A/C unit.
Last but not least, you must hear about the fire pit. It's a large pit area with a chipped slate floor and 4 adirondack chairs and stumps for side tables. The fire pit itself is a custom built stone pit and features a 3-tier grill that's a treat to cook on and easy to use.

WI-FI/ CELL SERVICE
While we do have Internet, it should be noted it isn’t the most reliable. While some guests have no issue streaming movies on their devices, others have little success. If you rely on internet for work or entertainment, we suggest you reconsider. Also, we must unfortunately ask our guest to pack their own trash out with them. There is a trash and recycling facility very nearby. If you are checking out on a Sunday or a holiday (trash facility is closed), or had an extended stay and accumulated too much trash, feel free to message us and we can arrange a trash pickup for you instead.

Neighborhood highlights
Downtown historic Clayton, GA is just about an 8-minute drive down Old Highway 441 and has some great restaurants. Fortify was once voted Top 100 Hundred Restaurants in the US. It’s delightful and a little fancy. Next door, they also have Fortify Pi which is a great pizza spot! There’s also Universal Joint, Clarks on Main, The Wicked Pig… to name a few. Downtown Clayton can get pretty hoppin on the weekend so plan accordingly. You can also head over to New 441 and try out Mama G’s (rustic Italian), Rusty Bike Café (awesome breakfast!) or La Pachanga (great Mexican)… Long story short, there’s some great food options! If you’re seeking good coffee, the best in town is at White Birch Provisions, which is also in Historic Downtown Clayton. A true coffee snob will have something bad to say, but it’s a decent coffee program.
If you plan to cook, we recommend the local favorite grocer, Andy’s Market. It’s a small market, but the butcher there is fantastic and has excellent cuts of meat and fresh fruits & veggies! If you need something bigger, there’s an Ingles as well.
