The historic William Gyles House is located in Newport's famed Yachting Village in downtown Newport. Budget accommodations. We offer spacious, comfortable private rooms, with in-suite private bath, on the second floor of the house.

The back yard of the house and garden is shared with the owner and tenants of the property. The guesthouse is located on the second floor of the house. A rather steep, narrow staircase entrance leads to the second floor. There is no handicapped access to the second floor.

During your stay we will be available to assist with local area information or any other needs our guests may have that we can help with.

Other things to note
There is free street parking in the area, but no off street parking at the property. If you have a car you can pull into our driveway when you arrive. Our driveway is a loading zone. Once we check you in, we will direct you to where free street parking is available a few blocks (a 10 or 15 minutes walk) from the guesthouse.

I am originally from Seattle, Washington. Throughout most of my life I have been a Real Estate agent. My regular international solo journeys have taken me to nearly every corner of the world. In 2002 I moved to Newport and purchased my current residence, known at the William Gyles House, in downtown Newport. Shortly thereafter I turned it into a guesthouse. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world who regularly pass through the doors of the William Gyles Guesthouse, and introducing them to our beautiful City-by-the-sea.
