Where you’ll be

Newport, Rhode Island, United States

We are in the heart of Newport's famed, historic Yachting Village. Most of the homes in this residential area were built in the early 1800's, as was the William Gyles House where this guesthouse is located. We are steps from the Newport waterfront with its wide variety of enticing restaurants and outdoor cafes, vibrant nightlife and eclectic shopping.

Newport, the City-by-the-Sea, is a world-class destination known for outstanding sailing, beautiful beaches and Guilded Age mansions. Newport is located on the southern tip of beautiful Aquidneck Island.

I am originally from Seattle, Washington. Throughout most of my life I have been a Real Estate agent. My regular international solo journeys have taken me to nearly every corner of the world.

In 2002 I moved to Newport and purchased my current residence, known at the William Gyles House, in downtown Newport. Shortly thereafter I turned it into a guesthouse.

I enjoy meeting people from all over the world who regularly pass through the doors of the William Gyles Guesthouse, and introducing them to our beautiful City-by-the-sea.
